Apple's new AirPods Max 2 launched last week, and Amazon is still one of the only retailers offering a discount on the headphones. You can get the Midnight and Starlight color options for $529.99 on Amazon, down from $549.00.

Although this is only a $19 discount on the AirPods Max 2, it's the best markdown you'll find online if you're looking to order the new headphones. Free delivery has the AirPods Max 2 arriving around April 14, but they can be delivered as soon as tomorrow with Prime shipping.

In other new product discounts, Amazon has the M5 MacBook Air for $150 off across nearly every model this week. If you're on the hunt for more discounts, be sure to visit our Apple Deals roundup where we recap the best Apple-related bargains of the past week.

Best Buy price matched them on launch day. Appropriately on April 1st. Fools Day. Don’t see much of any difference between the other release. Returning soon. They’re good but not $529 good.

$529.99? 😂

Flip the 5 and the 2 and you've got a deal.

My wife loves everything Apple and was buying headphones last week. She really wanted to buy the Max 2 so we went to the Apple store to try them. She said they sounded fantastic but were extremely uncomfortable to wear so she didn't buy them (felt like her head was being squeezed). We ended up at Best Buy and she bought the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra 2nd Gen and she has been wearing them a lot, absolutely loves them.

I hope Apple makes design changes for the next generation of Max as I have read a lot of complaints about the lack of comfort with the Max series headphones.

I decided to get Max 2 since I never owned the originals despite being interested for a while. I also felt this way for the first day, but they loosened up a bit after a few hours and I find them very comfortable now. Might be worth giving them some time to loosen up if she ever reconsiders.

At $299 they'd be a great deal but for $529 you're buying outdated tech under the guise of a pseudo "luxury" brand - the perceived luxury of which is steadily declining as Apple's brand dilution rears it's ugly head with the cheesy but infinitely influencer-hyped MacBook Neo.
And the new color options these headphones also reflect Apple's new cheesy tacky brand...

They are losing their mind, at Apple !
For $530 you can get a MacBook, or 1/5 iPhone "Fold" !
Or almost 1/2 Apple Watch Hermès !
Or 26 Polishing Clothes !
Or 1 Apple Watch band !
or 2 of those apple "socks" used to hold your iPhone ....https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2025/11/introducing-iphone-pocket-a-beautiful-way-to-wear-and-carry-iphone/

I’ve wanted a pair for awhile (Sony Xm4s are pretty uncomfortable) and bought mine using pay monthly direct from Apple. The interest free payment schedule and peace of mind buying straight from them makes it worth more than any minor discount. As my first APP Max, overall I’m happy with them— they’re not as heavy as feared and the sound quality is good. However, they could be a little bit less bassy IMHO.

I hope to pick up a pair in May or June. My old Beats Studios 3 is on its way out and held together with duct tape at this point, and time for an upgrade.

Shame they no longer come in silver/white.
The "Starlight" aka beige is bland. And all the other colors don't work for me either.

I had actually waited for the version 2 upgrade, as I wanted those H2 features, and then Apple kills my favorite color.
My luck.

Either get the old ones with the missing features, or get the new ones with the missing color.
Lose - lose.

I guess I will get some other headphones instead.
Or just save my money.

I did the same thing. I ended up with the Bose gen2 and they are very comforable. Got them on sale for 399.00 on Amazon. They sound great.
