Jumping on the bandwagon to say A overpriced - other premium headphones are less than 300 and B the mesh is going to get grubby (a big turn off for AVP too).

Some people actually believe $529 is worth it for these???? I love Apple, and I know there stuff is expensive. As an artist & photographer, I willingly pay for top of the line iPad Pros & iPhone Pros. But some things like their overpriced ipad & iphone cases I never buy from Apple. I buy the exact same cases from Chinese companies on Amazon for a fraction of the price. I will definitely add these overpriced headphones to the list of things i won't buy from Apple. Just not worth it to me.

I have the first ones and love them, but they are on the way out after ~5 years.. I am concerned that they seemingly haven't done anything about the condensation issue or the connector hinge wearing out unnecessarily.

I’ve wanted a pair for awhile (Sony Xm4s are pretty uncomfortable) and bought mine using pay monthly direct from Apple. The interest free payment schedule and peace of mind buying straight from them makes it worth more than any minor discount. As my first APP Max, overall I’m happy with them— they’re not as heavy as feared and the sound quality is good. However, they could be a little bit less bassy IMHO.

You may not have meant personal offense but you certainly gave it. I know a lot of Europeans and thank goodness they're not all snobs. Paying monthly is an interest free loan-- I know you're used to paying exorbitant prices over there but here, we like to keep our monthly expenses low- even if we can easily afford them. It's what smart people do.

Not much different than the other pair I had. Understand though, I’m 58 so YMMV. I say try them and see for yourself.
