I continue to enjoy my APM’s quite a bit.

The sound is great, and I find them very comfortable and convenient to use with the crown and transparency mode button. They are a super companion for my Apple TV and evening entertainment.

I’ve had them replaced 3 times though (different niggling issue each time), so I’m happy I’d bought Applecare+

I’m personally not concerned about lossless or USB-C, the latter in particular as I’m still all lightning for my Apple devices.

Half the price is not going to happen. The next version will be as expensive as this one. If you do then buy whatever version at that price, you will realise you could have just bought them at launch and gotten more enjoyment out of them over those years. Expected improvements on sound/ANC quality and charging port are not worth the wait IMO.

I have tried many pairs of headphones before, but these do offer something unique to the market. It's like other pairs of headphone are 90% of the experience but AirPods Max offer the extra 10%. I understand if people don't care for that or don't want to spend the extra cash to get there, but I appreciate it.

I use them more than any other piece of electronics I own, they are basically glued to my head for hours at a time. For that fact alone they are worth the price to me. My only regret is that I only just bought them last May.
I neglected to mention that I already have had Airpod Pro for years so those a lot of the work already. I am also located in Costa Rica which is very humid and I just don't to wear big headphones all day. How do AirPods Max compare to other large headphones when it comes to airflow over and around the ears?

Wow I can't believe it's been 3 years. I still remembering picking them from my Apple Store and not knowing what to expect from these. I remember putting them on for the first time and it feeling pretty heavy. But the sound really blew me away when I listened to the Dark Knight Theme, the first song I listened to with these. These were the best headphones I've heard up to that point and definitely beat the Sonys that I was using at the time. I have been debating whether to pick up the new Sonys Bose or the Beats, but those headphones doesn't have the H1/H2 chips nor do I think the sound will be that much better to justify shelling out $300 or so dollars. Even though an update is due with the Maxes, I still think these are some of the best-sounding headphones you can get on the market.

great sound for music but worthless for phone calls. Sony, bose are the same if you have a dark voice. If you sound like a bird its no problem for microphones to pick your voice up. I bought Poly Voyager Focus 2 and music doesnt sound as good but are great for phone calls or zoom meetings. Also no problem to wear them for hours where i found APM to be warm and sweaty.
