I would LOVE it if they came out with a version of AirPods that had wingtips, like the Beats Fit Pro, the only wireless earbuds that fit securely in my ears. But unlike the Beats Fit Pro, AirPods have that benefit of MagSafe charging.

But I'm pretty sure Apple is not concerned about the very small number of people like me who can't wear them. I think it will be more likely to see Beats Fit Pro 2 in the future with MagSafe charging, so I'll probably just be waiting for those.

just give us lossless support
Loseless support with microscopic drivers and power omegalul

Even if it was possible - it’s not possible to have Dolby Atmos TrueHD via BT, only Wi-Fi for wireless devices - it will be really pointless and irrelevant.
Don’t be fooled by marketing, Dolby Atmos TrueHD is a relevant thing only on powerful sound systems (Samsung HW-Q990C for instance). On tiny BT headset, small soundbar, built-in phone or TV speakers etc, it’s completely irrelevant

nothing makes sense, until they improve fit and make them stay in the ears much better than the current ones, so that more people can use them.
For me, chewing is enough to make them pop out. Sometimes not even chewing but small head movements suffice. So Apple is doing without a significant portion of the market, by selling a product that cannot be used by many people due to design issues.
If they were designed as ingeniously as e.g. the small Bose QCs, they could sell a ton more.

I think it's not just a small number of people. I know MANY who can't use them because they pop out too easily. Myself included.

I was just about to write the same thing about wanting some type of prong or wingtip to help hold the AirPods in my ears. I bet poor fit / AirPods falling out is an issue affecting a lot of people.

Just make it black.

The next AirPods Pro needs to play lossless and the R & L on each bud needs to be black and bold. Why do they make current AirPods with so subtle almost invisible R & L 🤌

I hope you're both right. If Apple could see how many people want something to make them fit better, I think they might consider at least making it an option.

Also, it's still not clear to me why the Beats Fit Pro, ~$200 wireless earbuds, don't have wireless charging like so many other earbuds do. And since Apple owns Beats, it seems like it would be pretty simple to at least sell a MagSafe CASE for them, right? Also, since they are actually owned by Apple (and sold at Apple Stores), why don't they sync to the iPhone the same way as AirPods? I mean, why not just rebrand them as the "Apple Beats AirPods" or something like that? So annoying! 🤬

I'd like longer battery life and some additional hearing support so I can use one instead of my aging hearing aid. Hearing Aid devices are very overpriced, and are not particularly well made.

I hope they don’t do silicone tips for the regular AirPods. I had to return AirPods Pro because they caused pressure in my ears and it hurt so bad.

Looks like the AirPods 3 pro are shaping up to be must-upgrade devices if the rumors turn out to be true.

There can be an adaption phase when you use different in-ear tips. Sometimes the pressure points will be uncomfortable for a couple of days until your ears get used to them. It’s like breaking in shoes.

Tips are unlikely for the regular Airpods. The point of those is that they don’t fully block out outside sound. They are open. It’s also why they can’t do strong base.

yes, I was thinking of the Pros, not the regular models, in particular as this thread is about the expected Pro 3s. Sorry.

I want: ...

- ability to REDUCE loud sounds with full fidelity. I’d wear them at rehearsals and at live concerts that way. There’s no competition for this feature! If Apple is so into health, why isn’t this a feature?
That's EXACTLY what the "Adaptive" noise control setting does, the one in between "Transparency" and "Noise Cancellation." Anything louder than the "Adaptive" setting you choose ("less noise"≈60dB, "default"≈70-72dB, "more noise"≈80dB) gets reduced to that level* with nearly perfect fidelity. Anything quieter than your chosen setting comes through transparently. It's truly brilliant. I use it for too-loud music events all the time now. Terrific fidelity, much better fidelity than when you choose Noise Cancellation. And it works MUCH better than my Loops, Eargasm, or EarPeace earplugs - yeah, I own all three, but I never use them now that I figured out what "Adaptive" actually does. *[or as close as the AirPods Pro 2 can manage]

Hopefully, for the Hearing function, Apple should watch what Phonak is doing with the new
Audeo Sphere hearing aids. There's a huge market for lower cost hearing devices.
