I just want good speaker quality and better microphone quality than AirPods Pro 1st gen. Oftentimes I have to switch to the iPhone Mic because people don’t understand me.

I bought a airpods 2 for my partner , then sold it for airpods pro 1 because of anc (first time using anc), i never owned a airpods myself, excited for the airpods pro 3, def buy

it does like a you problem. Sorry to tell you. This is not a normal experience by any means.
Oh, I know. It has to be. I go crazy- every time a new iPhone pro comes out I get it (on the iPhone upgrade program) and all of these weird little bugs come up/persist for me. I try wiping it clean and starting over, restore from backup- everything. I wonder if my Apple account is funked up somehow?

And yet, I remain an iPhone/apple user…

To give people options? To not use it? Really? Maybe Apple should also add a modem to every product just to give options, whatever the cost!
At this point, I’d rather have an SpO₂ or temperature sensor — since they’re not on every Apple Watch — even a GPS chip would make more sense.
I think you missed my entire point. Oh well. Can’t win them all.

So why would I buy a device with two useless sensors? The price isn’t going to drop just because I don’t use them, right?

(And I’m not talking about a feature I don’t want to use, I’m really talking about the sensors being disabled without me being able to do anything about it because I already have a smartwatch.)

But alright, let's see, maybe Apple has a plan?
I assume that the heart rate monitoring comes with improvements to the optical skin-detect sensors already on the AirPods Pro. I doubt it adds much to the cost of the device since the Powerbeats Pro 2 have the same feature and MSRP.

Remember when Steve said for every YES there were maybe 100 hundred NOs? I think they lost this concept. My fridge doesn't need a television and my earphones don't need to measure my heart.

I thought this was silly but actually it’s great 😃
I want to ditch the ugly apple wrist computer at some point and this will help greatly

When it comes to new AirPods I would appreciate:
- Better Noise Cancelling
- Better Battery Life
- Better Sound Quality
- Better Transparency Mode
- Better Microphone Quality (so that you can actually take a phone call with these things)

That’s it. The rest will just make it unnecessarily more expensive.

As others have said, give me better sound quality and a minimum. Better battery life too. Instant buy for me. My current AirPod Pros have terrible batterylife now.

A lot of negative comments here but personally I believe not every single upgrade has to be revolutionary. I have the Lightning AirPods Pro 2 and use them daily for work and pleasure, and am itching to finally get rid of my last primary device that uses Lightning and no longer need to bring a Lightning cable on my trips. But USB-C AirPods Pro 2 isn't reason enough to upgrade when I have the same model, so when the 3 comes up, it'll be an insta-buy from me. As long as it has slightly longer battery, slightly longer range, slightly better audio quality, et cetera, I'm happy. Baby steps are fine here and there!

I'm not really here to answer that, I was just answering a question. I do not believe the price decreases based on feature usage, just on whether it sells well or not...in this case I would wait 2-4 weeks before buying as the product will likely go on sale quickly.

I hope the Airpods Pro HR monitor can work together with Apple Watch's HR monitor. My gloves/straps interfere with my Apple Watch and I have to take off my Apple Watch whenever I use one of those and my workout pauses. If Airpods Pro can let me continue the workout session and tracks HR, it'd be great.
Also, my Apple Watch Ultra 1gen tends to miss the HR of the first ~5-10 minutes of running. It's just not able to track my HR during that time. I'm assuming that my watch not being used to bouncing action and needed some time to calibrate itself. If Airpods Pro can work together to provide more accurate HR, that'll also help.

Hope I can turn this off. Don’t want to waste my battery life on crap I don’t need.

They’re earbuds. Improve the sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery life. This isn’t rocket surgery. What sucks is this is taking up valuable space inside. I just want them to be as lightweight and compact as possible without sacrificing much on the above. It’s a balance. You’d think most people shelling out for premium Apple earbuds would already have their Watch.

I actually registered on MacRumors so I could transmit my thoughts. I look on here all the time to decide whether or not to buy new products. The VERY BEST decision I've ever made (in the stock market) was to sell all of my apple stock in December last year. I had held it for about 15 years. It was a 'not small' amount of the stock. My first house cost less. I truly cannot understand why this company has stepped away from innovation. It is the definition of "resting on your laurels"

"we added a special button this year to the new iphone pro design!!" -literally who cares??

"The new airpod pro, we made the earpiece slightly more comfortable... " -congrats?

Where is the innovation and wow factor when Jobs was there? Honestly.

lemme list out the products I currently own, Newest Macbook Pro, ipad Mini for flying, 4 of the latest pro phones, 4 macbooks, just bought an ipad A16 for daughter, and all the little stuff too like Apple watch ultra, airpods x4, Wife has the gold watch one, yadda yadda
