I’ve had nothing but issues with my APP v2. They get so quite at times where I can’t even hear then other times they are fine. Apple care still costs me $50 to replace them even though it’s clearly a manufacture defect. Just awful.
This is my experience, I quit using AirPods for music and other entertainment, Why? because I do care for music quality; so what did I do? I went back using EarPods, you're not going to believe this but the quality is absolute way better than AirPods, is louder and the bass and treble is okay but is also enough. I will take any wired headphone over bluetooth any day everyday. I still use AirPods 2 for work because I do move a lot and calling which is every day all day, that's it. Give them a try.All I want is better sound quality for listening to music. I don't use/need any of the other features.
I’m hoping I find the same as you, just picked up a pair of the AP4’s with ANC but haven’t tried them yet. I use my AP3’s 90% of the time over the APP2’s, it’s a comfort thing for me - and the natural transparency you get with them over the APP2’s transparency mode. There are a ton of scenarios I wish I had ANC, the gym for instance - so I’m hoping these AP4’s just hit that sweet spot for me as well.
My left bud/ear will not remain sealed with the APP2’s, it just becomes slightly unsealed which breaks the sound quality/ANC of course - my right bud/ear remains sealed without issue, it’s weird. I’ve tried all three tip sizes, nada.

I also like to fall asleep listening to a podcast (usually) or some kind of music/white noise. I actually have a separate OG AirPods that I use just to sleep, as I also couldn't sleep with the AirPods Pro - I'm also a front/side sleeper, and so my head is sideways on my pillow (with some force downwards), and it hurt my ears too much. The in-ear tips are just too far in. With regular AirPods, zero issues.I'd like a thinner form factor so I could fall asleep with them and not wake up with an ear hurting from pressure on the pillow (side/front sleeper). I expect there are dedicated devices for listening to music when you're falling asleep, but it would be nice to not need a separate device for this.
Multiple? Maximum 2. You charge them while you have the second pair in your ears! Please don’t mind me asking, but what on earth are you doing that you can’t put them into their case while going for a dump? Your doctor will tell you, your ears also need some fresh air.All I want is more battery life. I finally got sick of switching between multiple pairs of AirPods multiple times a day and got some cans.
What's funny is that I find my AP3 more comfortable than my APP2.
It’s amazing how my AirPods 4 with ANC basically replaced my AirPods Pro 2
I haven’t used them in months and months
I don’t need a bunch of bells and whistles for AirPods. I have the APP2, Max, and AP4 w/ ANC — and I find myself going to the latter 90% of the time.
I have an honest question. What mad you buy another APP/AP st, when you already had a set of earphones? I understand having cans and some small in-ear earphones, but two?it’s amazing people can use regular AirPods, AirPods Pro is the way to go. Could never buy a regular one
Is there anything that differentiates the “pro” other than the rubber tips?
I've taken calls while on a lawn mower through my APP2's and while it wasn't the best quality on their end ( which could also be signal cause I live in a horrible reception area) it was workable. Not saying that improvements aren't necessary, just saying they do pretty good from what I can tell. The only true thing I care about for APP3 is improved call quality.
The design flaws of the earlier versions were beyond problematic. Apple used software enhancements and firmware upgrades to try to solve for this flaw, but call quality seemed to be an afterthought - something I could never understand going all the way back to APP1. To this day, AP2 are still the best for call quality, hence why they’ve retained their price point despite being more than 5 years old.
It surprises me that call quality rarely gets discussed on these wishlist threads - almost as if folks here don’t use their AirPods for phone calls. I need something that works on trains while commuting, walking outside on city streets bustling with traffic and sirens, and taking work calls while driving in the car.
If Apple can’t solve for these things with APP3, count me out.
This could be part of Spatial Audio if you have that enabled on the phone. I've noticed it seems to be brighter sounding with it on and more full or deep on the watch where it isn't available for whatever reason. The chip in the watch should be capable of spatial audio, but they limit it for some reason. That's my only guess.when my pro 2s are connected to my phone the volume gets nice and loud but to my watch when running and the same volume setting is clearly not the same volume level. It’s as if the phone and its chip is capable of producing more volume. 16 pro max and watch 9 gps and MacBook Pro intel 2020
Are you sure you getting the right seal with the right eartips for your ear shape? Cause for me I thought the same thing until I bought brand new eartips exactly Size (M) which fit exactly for my ear shape and since then to be honest I don’t even use ANC anymore just passive-noise-cancellation and I can’t hear a thing. So make sure you check different eartips or buy new ones. The ANC has been reduced after each firmwsre version, as with the AP1. Now the ANC in my AP2 is almost non-existent. So, the new version will just have the “good algorithm”. Apple is just pushing damaging updates to makes us believe the new version is really better.
I’m hoping the same thing. Going on a 2 week trip later in the year and, while I’m learning some words and phrases, this would be killer.I hope the translation feature is good. Just put the AirPods Pro in the ear….it turns-on noise cancellation…and starts to translate.
That used to happen to my old AirPods. My new APP2 are great and no issues. The good: AirPods Pro 2
The bad: a stupid AirPod Pro 2 earbud that decides it doesn't want to charge and comes out of the case at 2% while the other is at 100%
The great: Air Pods Pro 2 on my Mac with Boom 3D running so I can listen to tunes while working. Amazing improvement* in sound.
*when Boom 3D doesn't decide to hang, which it is wont to do once in a while
My AP3 don’t have noise cancelling. So I use my APP2 when on a flight or on my motorcycle where they provide value.I have an honest question. What mad you buy another APP/AP st, when you already had a set of earphones? I understand having cans and some small in-ear earphones, but two?
