I agree with the general sentiment that "Extreme" is problematic when you already have "Max" and "Ultra" in play. They are all too much alike.

I also don't like it for whatever is beyond the Ultra, for the same reason. "Ultra" means beyond, so we're looking for something that captures 'beyond the beyond' ... so another dimension, basically. I don't know. Maybe just Ultra+.

Gopd call. In line with the rest of the products. Kind of.
What other features can I wish for them to have?. Better performance while calling on the street. People reports that the my voice gets cut when ANC is enabled and there is a lot of noise in the background.
For music they are perfect for general use and “old hearing”

The "Pro" part makes zero sense in most of their product lineup. What kind of professional needs the AirPods Pro that a regular user has no use for? Although I don't like "extreme" either it would probably make better sense.
The part that gets me is that with Apple's processors, there's a tier called Max, as in maxiumum. Maximum is by definition "the most" of something, and yet they have (to quote Spinal Tap) turned it up to 11 by making an Ultra that's greater than the Max.

On the headphones side, I wonder if there will eventually be an AirPods Ultra.

Pro is still awful branding. Nothing ‘pro’ about listening to something. I personally think the Pro branding is dating terribly.

I think it does make sense. The Airpod Pros competed directly with Bose in the business travel market.

It's not that a regular user can't use those features, but rather many regular users won't pay for those features. If you travel a lot, arguably you need noise cancellation.

Hey, I've still got the last version of the Airport Extreme running at my house!
I don't use mine anymore, but It's still mounted on the wall. I'm too nostalgic to take it down. I wish Apple would make a modern version. I would gladly pay the premium for it. For all the years I had mine I never had a single issue. I would have liked to keep using it, but it couldn't keep up with my internet speed.

Yeah, I wish they'd stayed in that business too. The Airports were so much more reliable than the other brands I'd used previously. It's funny how people used to complain about the price - yet now they're paying much more for most mesh systems.

Fortunately the Extreme handles our 900/120 cable internet just fine (side note... I am so glad Comcast finally is starting to get its act together with regards to upload speed, at least in my area).

Apple needs to do a better job at naming their products/ naming conventions. The whole extreme, pro, air, ultra, plus, max just confuses customers. The name needs to inherently describe the product, clearly indicate where a model sits amongst other models, and be consistent across all product lines.

I wish they'd go back to the Product Name [number]/[speed] like they used to have. Power Macintosh 7500/120 is incredibly informative.

Yeah with me having to sacrifice a lot just to make sure AirPods Pro don’t jump connections from one device to another randomly airpods extreme gonna be a tough pill to swallow when calling that.

Is it good? Yes. Good for extreme? Not by an insanely long shot.

I agree, a quantifiable model is definitely more descriptive. They should have a regular, pro, and ultra model then add a screen size to it. For example:

16" Macbook Ultra
14" Macbook

6.5" iPhone Pro
8.1" iPhone Ultra

At 3nm will a MBP 16" M3 Ultra be possible?

USB PD 240W has been an industry standard since last year.

Sure, it will be loud & battery life be half that of a 2023 MBP 16" M3 Max but the 2018 & 2019 MBP 15" Core i9 & 2019 MBP 16" Core i9 sold well enough for Apple to offer it.
