My puppy last year was teething, and one time got a hold of the Airpods Pro case that slipped out of my pocket, and after five minutes did a number on it. It still closes minus a mm where the plastic has been malformed and charges fine, but it won't win any beauty contest. Disappointing I can't just buy a new case.

Less well-known about AirPods Pro is that they can be used quite effectively as hearing aids when operating in Transparency Mode. Settings for the buds allow input of a formal audiogram, but alternatively the settings can guide the wearer through 4 listening tests to choose appropriate frequency boosts. For just $200, people with mild to moderate hearing loss will likely appreciate the richer, more natural sound, on-device controls, fully hands-free operation for phone calls, and automatic switching between Apple devices which "hearing aids" and PSAPs do not provide.
To find the relevant settings, one must be wearing the APPs, choose the APPs in Settings, drill down through Accessibility>Audio Accessibility Settings>Headphone Accommodations, enable Headphone Accommodations, and finally go through the "Custom Audio Setup" process. When finished, the APPs will be in Noise Cancellation mode. Switch to Transparency Mode to enjoy your new hearing aids!

For those waiting for the next AirPods Pro, what new or enhanced features do you think we can expect? Is there anything from left field you would like to see?
I know it’s been rumored for several years that they’ve been testing adding additional health sensors to AirPods, especially to increase reliability when paired with the Apple Watch.
For example, the temperature sensor in the Watch isn’t accurate enough to be used outside of very specific cases, mainly because the wrist isn’t a good location for temperature readings.
However, add a temperature sensor to AirPods and the amount of data that can be gathered goes way up.
I expect the Pro 3s in 2025 to focus on this a lot.

Do the AirPods Pro have the same issue as the new regular AirPods where one doesn’t charge over night? It’s one, then another day, the other, then both. Then sometimes it’s fine. Been through several pair and they all have the issue. It’s so frustrating when you go to put them on in the morning and one is dead. I find it hard to believe I’m the only one with the problem. Unless I’m “doing it wrong.”

You might want to check with your Apple Store, as I would think they should be able to sell you a replacement case as yours is damaged, and I was under the impression they do sell replacement parts.

Maybe they really did change something with the AirPods themselves and they have to sell you the Lightning case, but my expectation is they just didn’t bother offering the new case separately like they did last time because they didn’t sell well at that time. (That MagSafe upgrade case didn’t seem worth the upgrade price to me, but who knows, maybe they sold millions! 😀) You might get a better answer if you wait a few weeks until they have stock and/or valid information.

It certainly seems like it is worth asking in your case (no pun intended.)

New 💰💰💰 for Apple.

Why does only latest version of AppleTV 4K support the FaceTime feature? See above.
Actually, AppleTV 4K V2 and V3 both support FaceTime, so it seems more likely due to a hardware limitation with V1, though I guess that doesn’t fit the narrative. It is the Interactivity with Apple Music Sing and Continuity Camera that is limited to V3, again most likely due to the newer hardware, but, sure, maybe Apple figure that will be a huge upgrade money maker.
