It's the same fit as the EarPods , same drivers, same sound . I acknowledged you are paying extra for the BT, does not mean the SQ is better than the EarPods.

Do you think the AirPods are better than EarPods in terms of SQ.....feel fee to link any reputable review from a major publication that agrees with that statement . Every review I've read is all but the same, and that is my experience.

They joy if the AirPods is not new SQ, it's the convenience and implementation of the BT that makes it better than other BT solutions it's price range and above
I never said the airpods were better SQ than the EarPods. They're very similar.

I questioned your comparison of the SQ of any other £30 bt sets against the airpods. (Not sure how you misread my post. )

There's simply no comparison. And genuinely I would be interested in knowing about any other bt sets that you purport to know of that are better in the £30 price range, so please provide links and driver size data etc, as I would be a little frustrated at having spent 160 on the airpods despite the convenience they provide.

I genuinely don't think they sound anywhere near a pair of £35 Sennheiser headphones, like NO WHERE near. I peg them more in the £5 range of headphones. I've heard £5 Creative in-ears that sound much much better though.

I was on about the EarPods that come free with the iPhone, not the AirPods which I haven't heard.
[doublepost=1482403506][/doublepost]

I got £320 for a pair last week sent to someone in Saudi who's over the moon with them.
Something's faulty with yours, or you just like some element of exaggeration in audio that the EarPods didn't deliver. Reviews have consistently hailed their performance for the price.

Well, honestly I don't know a single **** about washing machines, I think mine is just spinning while there's water falling from that little spring at the top, the cilinder is constantly draining it, but perhaps my washing machine isn't the standard, conclusion is that you just shouldn't throw your AirPods for a cycle :p

I guess the point missed here is that £30 = EarPods price....... makes sense? And I was comparing them to EarPods sound, cause they are so similar, Never did I say other BT headsets, reread what I wrote. I said, try the EarPods, airpods sound the same

The poster I replied to can get their hands on EarPods, they cannot get their hands on £30 BT headphones that sound like airpots.....

Does it make sense. You need to read what he asked me and what I replied.

Executive summary, Im not comparing to other BT headsets, but to EarPods

Was at 711 here in Bangkok and the girl working there pointed at them in amazement. lol People here want them and don't think they are silly.

Interesting assumption based on a 711 Employee. Its how market research works! :p

It originally said it would deliver by the 29th, and now it's being delivered tomorrow (23rd).
That's wonderful! I was originally scheduled to have mine by January 12th, but now they're preparing for shipment. Still says 1/12 delivery, but I have faith that they'll be here by the 28th/29th.

There is a 711 every 100 meters here. It isn't like it would be unusual to go into one. In this case the people working are somewhat friendly and they noticed. So even a minimum wage worker in a third world country knows what they are and can appreciate them.

Your attitude can be summed up by the fact that you think Thailand is 3rd world country :) owww dear......

Maybe she thought they were globs of white liquid running from your ears, and thought it was funny that you were touching it?

Well the price is "free" seen as they come with iPhones - they're nothing better than free headphones to me either. But at the end of the day when you us IE80's as a daily driver they're best kept sealed in the package as mine are every year for when you sell onto the next buyer.

I knew I should have bought two when I had the chance! Awesome, so that means that your profit pays for a free pair!

In theory yes, but i'm not really interested in them, I sent it on an Audioquest Dragonfly Red which I can use with macOS or iOS too, pretty cool :)

No probs mate. I'm happy with its price for the BT/convience alone.

If they sounded like £150 wired headphones , bargain of the century .
Yeah my slight frustration is that the left earpod refuses to stay in for more than a minute and certainly not for running or training.
I can use earpod covers and they stay perfectly in but then I have to keep taking the covers off and on every time as they don't fit in the charging case. A shame

What a bummer. If these fit you well they are excellent. I love them for excersise .

Of course, what we don't know is what happens 5 or 10+ days later. I definitely wouldn't take the "water test" reports as some kind of concept of waterproof or even water resistant. In other words, that part should have had the disclaimer of "don't try this at home."

The guy said that you shouldn't do this to your own AirPods very emphatically. Watch the video.

Irrelevant , it's not a 3rd world country.

Have a good day.

"Again, Apple doesn't want stems sticking out of their AirPods, but they converted the previous form for a new function to take advantage of the space to place their batteries, which is why they can outperform other wireless buds."

The stem also contains the antenna element, which is crucial to get the excellent range they have. If a smaller antenna were housed inside the bud the operating range would be significantly less and with annoying cutouts.

That may or may not be true. It may also simply be an engineering problem easily resolved in another, possibly superior way. The point remains, the stems were not designed for this purpose. Who knows what they would have come up with had they actually started from scratch and designed these from the ground up? I'd wager they would have looked a little more appropriate for their function than these do. Then again, there's the iPhone External Battery Case ...

Actually it is true. The stem is a brilliant design that serves multiple requirements and was absolutely designed for that purpose, satisfying RF requirements, outstanding communications range, sufficient battery capacity, two-way communications requirements, charging, and mechanical support.

If the goal is to eliminate wires, that's pretty much what it needs to be, and it is pretty obvious (the antenna is a dead giveaway).

Apple engineering at its finest.

OK, but you didn't. Instead you made it sound like even taking a bath and dropping them in was "no big deal." I simply came in behind your very positive post to be sure that point comes across for all who might read posts but not watch 12-minute amateur videos. Your post implied water resistance or water proof... which even Apple doesn't try to spin.

Well if some people go into the bath tub with their pods because I said I would do that I guess because I did not disclose my he danger involved they would have a valid class action lawsuit. Although I wouldn't try them in the shower where the exposure to water is constant.
