Reviewers have said they actually stay in surprisingly well. You'll also be happy to know that there are no blinking LED's on the AirPods. None at all.
So thankful for no blinking light I'm actually looking at buying them now. The only Bluetooth headphone I got before were a couple of pairs off of monoprice. Not the best in the world for sound, but I got them for when I'm working outside since they were are so waterproof and only $30. They were decent enough that I sometime use them at work. The down side is if it's dark out the LED lights up the whole inside of the truck cab, or station with a blinking blue light.

Incorrect.

This looks retarded.
Just add a wire connecting them and it looks no different then any other set of earphones. I will admit though that I'd prefer them in black, or at least a darker color. Heck I even think a light gray would look slightly better.

Lol yes it's apples goal to make tens of millions of people wait to give them money, and hope they don't decide to buy something else in the meantime.

This also happens when you don't make that many of them to begin with.

im currently using these (still within my 14 days, may very well return and buy again to get the holiday return policy extension) and don't find them that bad. What have been your issue with them?
The main problem right now is that the release of W1 equipped head/earphones have been too scattered. They are all expensive and it is very difficult to (at this moment) make the right choice.
Waaaay to bassy compared to the previous version. Mids are ok but the highs are ridiculously tinny. I think if you listen mostly to dance/rap/electronic they'd be ok, but I listen to everything including audiobooks when I work out so these just don't cut it. I could forgive it were they a generic 40 dollar pair, but for 200 bucks I expect more especially seeing how this wasn't an issue with the prior model. I really like the idea of being able to swap one set between my iPhone, iPad and MacBook, but this set isn't it.

Don't care anymore. Too late. Bought some Bose QC30's and they're amazing.

This is an interesting point. Not because you purchased A Bose product, but because you decided not to wait any more. If the Airpods would have been released on time, then you may have actually purchased the Airpods. But the delay pushed you to search for another product, which takes away from The potential sale for Apple, which is their fault for not upholding the October release.

I'm going to wait it out, but many are looking for other options besides the Airpods with the delay.

I'm holding out as these cheap wireless headphones from amazon have kept me going.

No point in spending £200 on wireless ear phones on something I don't Truely want

Yes I was looking forward to them and they should have been ready for the iPhone release not months after it defeats the point in selling an idea but not having your own Bluetooth accessory at hand to sell it further.

The boss are amazing I love them so I should be thanking Apple for delaying the air pods.

Today (Monday) isn't over yet. And I'm thinking December we might see them launch.
Not so sure... too late for Christmas holidays: next 24 is the ThanksGiving, Apple won't made them available after that date... I think now the release date will be the very beginning of January...

Apple could get them into stores by the 25th -- Black Friday through Cyber Monday. But I think it's wishful thinking.

They could also release them in December as they would make great last minute stocking stuffers, but if they do that, they will need to ship them in significant volume to avoid dissapointment, and they'd better be bullet-proof, since they will mostly be gifts and people will first be using them on Christmas Day when nobody will be around to support them.

Pretty risky. If they aren't available by this weekend, I think the chances of making it before the holidays are unlikely. Apple would be smarter to release them after Christmas at is point, to capitalize on all those Apple gift cards, and post holiday shopping.

I'm just saying that any company can manipulate their production to make less of them so that they can always say "they sold out". Saying "we've sold out of product X" alone is no longer a meaningful metric.

Mac 128: I totally agree with your POV... But: still hoping (or waiting for Godot)... ;)
