It's now possible to downgrade the firmware, even if you don't have the firmware file on your machine (as was required by older versions).
That's been possible for some time.

The update can't be pulled, i tried it via software update and I'm downloading it right now.
But if you don't see me for a while you'll know why as well!
does not resolve the dropping wireless issues in 10.5.2 for macbook.
is that supposed to be one of the fixes?
(for others, i find my connection doesn't drop when i have a torrent program running doing low speed U/L. perhaps something about keeping the connection active)
No real improvement for Airdisk as far as I can tell. A failure to connect still brings the whole router down. About what I expected without a firmware update.
update time after changes seems phenomenally quicker and I like the groovy blue "disks" icon
Update: Apple has apparently pulled the updates for unknown reasons.
Maybe this update makes the Airport Utility compatible with the new Airport Express.
anyone know if this addresses the wrist-slitting Airport dropouts thousands of us are suffering in Leopard?
When opening Airport Utility it tells me a newer version is available (5.3.1).
I hit the update button which opens up Software Update, but the update doesn't show up in there!! lol..
Anyone else notice that "About" says version 5.3.1, but "info" about the program still says "5.2.2"?
