Airport extreme issue

sounds like you need to reconnect the printer to the new wifi network name/password. sounds like you're having modem issues and your ISP needs to reset your line. The AirPorts rarely occur issues and generally alert you of issues you're experiencing from modems.

The RCN technical connected his laptop wired to the modem and it worked he told me to do operate bands 2.4 and 5ghz network and one printer does not work my hp laser jet 3055

Did you have the HP LaserJet connected over USB or wireless previously?

i fixed it the ethernet cable was not working replaced it

I’ve just stumbled upon this thread & it’s funny you say this b/c my Airport Extreme started doing this as well. Same time, same issue

my airport extreme random turned its self off i plugged it back in and it started to work is this normal cause I just got this replaced

No I don't think so. I bought mine in late 2013. Is yours still running ok ??

Was the power light still on and the unit was unresponsive?

the light was off but i unplugged it plugged it back in and its working now

You may of gotten a defective unit then. Generally, even if the AirPort crashes the power light will stay illuminated.

but the unit light came back on when i plugged it back in and now working should i be worried

I did have a power stripped plugged in when the issue happened maybe that broke

Power strips generally have circuit breakers built in but if no other devices on the strip were affected then I would be led to believe it was just a loose power cable and I'd keep an eye on it.
