AirPower who really wants one?

Ship sailed for me. So many options out now, can’t think of a reason to wait for an Apple specific option.
I might want one if it was cheap, but cheap and Apple dont mix lol
I have swayed from side to side about whether AirPower will ever arrive. Currently, I just don't think they will. The fact that they have changed the packaging the AirPods not to show AirPower on the illustration and that Gen 2 AirPods have been piling up warehouses for months until they bit the bullet and released them just tells me that they don't have a product ready.
I bought that with a brilliant QC 3.0 charger brick and the watch would charge for 2 seconds then stop. I returned it and kept the power brick that has both QC 30 USB A and 30W USB C charging for my MacBook.
I actually use an Apple 12w power brick with mine and both my iPhone and AW are always fully charged in the morning, so no complaints.
The packaging for the AirPods does not include the illustration of AirPower; only the separate wireless charging case packaging has the AirPower illustration.
Like others have said, I’ve moved on. Apples window to release AirPower has closed IMO. Not having it ready at the release of AirPods 2 means the last holdouts are probably going to seek other solutions. My guess is that apple will quietly scrap it.
Apple will absolutely not scrap AirPower. "BeeGood", prepare to join the long line of haters who were wrong about Apple, including Michael Dell and Steve Ballmer.

I don’t like any flat/puck wireless charger.
They need to be angled so I can keep using my phone as an alarm clock which I can view by just tapping the screen (negating the need to pick up the phone whilst half asleep & in the dark).
This one is what AirPower should be - not only can you mount the phone on an angle, but also Airpods & Watch...

Not me, it's sure to be overpriced and it won't charge my watch with the bands I use. the Airpower assumes everyone uses a detachable band that you can just lay your watch down with.... I mostly use metal bands, and the milanese loop which does not detach..... So it will not work for me.

I'm passively interested depending on cost/design. Purchased the wireless case for airpods in case I have to have wireless charging in the future. Made a significant investment in Apple products this year so am going to let my credit cards cool down a bit before jumping in.
Also, there are so many options available already the cost at Apple might make me choose to purchase something different or just keep using cables for a time.
After all, it only charges. Not as exciting to me as my other Apple toys.

Cancelled! That’s all folks! I’m curious as to what engineering problems a juggernaut like Apple couldn’t solve?
Perhaps not as much not being able to solve but not wanting to invest as much as would potentially be needed into it all in order to solve it.
Good guess! I don't know how successful it would have been anyway. Considering wireless chargers are so cheap and for a very little extra functionality this was probably going to run $200 minimum...
Lol why is that? Apple aren't exactly known for being innovative or for introducing groundbreaking tech. They're good at buying companies with new tech, refining it, and rebranding it as an apple product or new tech.
