AirTag Orders Moving to 'Shipped' Status for More Customers

Belkin tag is still preparing to ship as it has been since Sunday.

I’m literally the gay iJustine, I certainly am. I’ve literally planned an activity where my friends and I hide a bunch of them in the garden, have a few bevvys and use the U1 chip to find them haha

are we talking about the same definition of "lost"? I've not lost any the above either but it doesn't mean I've not lost them in the house before, anything to save my sanity helps especially when you have kids around playing with things or placing items over above items.

I ordered from Amazon once shipping dates started to slip. They just shipped for delivery tomorrow even though I had a May 5th delivery date!

AirTag orders are beginning to be marked as "shipped" for more customers on Apple's online store around the world, with most deliveries set to begin arriving to customers on Friday, April 30 launch day. A few lucky customers already received their AirTag orders earlier this week, providing us with a closer look at the unboxing experience.

Priced at $29 each or $99 for a four pack, users can attach an AirTag to personal belongings like a wallet, keys, purse, or backpack and then keep track of the location of those items in the Find My app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

When an item with an AirTag attached is lost but nearby, the Find My app displays an arrow that guides users towards the item, and the AirTag's built-in U1 chip provides very precise location accuracy when used with iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 models. Even when an AirTag-affixed item is lost in a far away place, its location can be anonymously pinpointed by other Apple device users, as part of the crowdsourced Find My network.

Will say that I purchased mine from both Apple and Best Buy and Best Buy got them to me quicker than Apple dead which is great but I will say the AirTags aren't what you think they are they do not pinpoint where something is via a map it's in a general circle which is a bit confusing and then you have to go to the sound or use the phone to guide it to the device there's no easy way to pinpoint where something is as it does not show you on a map it will only point you there maybe I'm saying something incorrectly but I think it something to do with apples privacy issues eventually see what other tags do in the situation.

So it does exactly what it is advertised to do. Sounds more like you expected it to do something different than advertised.

I rarely lose things but I still plan to use my four pack of Air Tags. I will keep one in my wallet, which is generally in my gym bag. If anyone walks off with the bag I’ll know where it went.

I will also keep one in my checked luggage so that if the airline loses my bag I’ll know where it is before they do. And I will hopefully be able to see it rolling off the airplane and heading to baggage check so I know how much longer I have to wait.

I will likely put one on my dog’s collar to keep track of him just in case he runs away. It’s never happened but it will give me peace of mind knowing it’s there.

And my fourth one will be used to keep tabs on my spouse’s whereabouts. Yeah I know…just kidding.

My AirTags just showed up about 40 minutes ago from UPS. Still waiting for my Belkin key holder from FedEx.
