Don’t get why Apple doesn’t do this. I have it on my tile with smart alarts for my keys and wallet. I leave one behind I get an alert.I want a notification when my iPhone is left behind on my non-cellular Apple watch
Pebble used to have this feature. The watch would give you a haptic feedback if it lost connectivity with the phone.I want a notification when my iPhone is left behind on my non-cellular Apple watch
By Family Sharing? I can see all of my wife devices including her iPhone on my Find My. I don’t need AirTag for that.
Almost everything I lost are stole from me, like badminton rackets from my gym lockers, etc. I never lost things like my keys, etc.Yes, but if I were you I would be more concerned about my car or purse being stolen than a $29 dollar AirTag. Again, these are not for tracking stolen items, they are for lost items.
Then you don't need these.Almost everything I lost are stole from me, like badminton rackets from my gym lockers, etc. I never lost things like my keys, etc.
Man you really angered the mini nuts on the forums lmao! That would be the iphone mini
MeowThen better don't by ANY Apple product (or electronics for that matter - or car)
Let’s say you are on the bus, airtag in your backpack. Your phone runs out of battery. Every iPhone on the bus goes nuts because of “be careful you are being tracked” notification??
I understand the anti stalking side of it but the purpose should be to find a stolen item not just a lost item, if the tag tells whoever stole it about its presence what’s the point really.
It is just meant to be put on a bunch of keys, not on something you don’t want to be stolen.
Don't give Apple any ideas.Big surprise coming from Apple. I'd have assumed a soldered on battery to make it thinner. When the battery dies, buy a whole new AirTag. Very happy too see this.
It's a CR2032 battery. Get then for about 20c each on Amazon.Yes, the battery is user replaceable. However it doesn’t say what type of battery it uses, where you buy the replacements and how much they cost. It might be a special battery only available from Apple for $10. Battery lasts up to 1 year.
But you can put a poop and a unicorn on it. Stop whining.I just went on the Apple Store to look at the selection of emoji you can engrave on the AirTag, and it is kind of meh... it’s obviously not a big deal, but if I decide to get some, I would’ve liked to put an image that corresponds to what I want to track... so the fact that there isn’t a key emoji, something travel related (plane, earth,...), a couple different types of bags (backpack, purse, etc), or other types of items one would like to track is a bit disappointing.
They should all be in flight mode anyway.. so NO ONE would get notified until you land.In the video...
YOU are on the flight so nobody else gets notified
Just a thought. If the remote was connected to wifi why would it need an air tag - surely it could fall into the same 'find my' as AirPods etc - no need to have a tag.maybe this helps explain why we haven’t seen airTag built into the AppleTV remote. perhaps they know they have a gap in their tracking ability by not having family sharing. We would all want anyone in the family to track something like a remote.
Yes!! I was at Sea World last month and I didn’t realize I had lost my iPhone until I tried to text from my watch and there was no connectivity. Would have been great to have gotten a message on my watch once connectivity was lost.I want a notification when my iPhone is left behind on my non-cellular Apple watch
Bluetooth doesn't turn off with airplane mode though...They should all be in flight mode anyway.. so NO ONE would get notified until you land.
it cab be though - right?Bluetooth doesn't turn off with airplane mode though...
Sure, but people like to wear bluetooth headphones on planes...it cab be though - right?
I'm guessing it's so people don't get weird with what or WHO they track. Why limit it to 16?
