AirTags and Purple iPhone 12 Models Start Arriving to Customers in New Zealand and Australia

Honestly, that poster posts a LOT and it’s always very upbeat / cheery and definitely makes me chuckle lol idk why. Especially funny because it’s just an AirTag and holder…

Snagged the last 4-pack from Noel Leeming in Wellington.
The AirTag has a pretty small diameter, maybe a hair larger than a typical bottle cap. It’s thicker than I expected, and probably won’t fit in a slimline wallet.
Setup is drop-dead simple. Basically the same as connecting a new set of AirPods; bring the AirTag next to your phone, iPhone finds the tag, you connect and name it, you’re done.
Haven’t tested any of the location tracking features yet.
The Apple keychain holder is reasonably well-made, but probably not worth what I paid for it. I’d go third-party if you can.

Picked mine up from Apple Sydney just now. Hardly anyone there. In and out in 5 mins.
You pull the plastic wrapping that’s separating the battery from the contact points and the tag makes a short bit audible sound telling you it’s activated. Bring it next to the iPhone and it connects like airpods do. A few taps and it’s registered to my Apple ID.
Theres a default list of items that you can choose from a list to track. If you choose custom name, you can pick one emoji to represent that AirTag.
I tend to forget where I put my keys sometimes so this is a good safeguard for times when I’m frantic and looking for them when I need to leave for work in a hurry.

I ordered engraved last Friday and it said I would get early May, but the tracking information (shipping out of China) shows it arriving at my home on Friday the 30th! 
BTW: anyone who has a Glowforge, don't forget you can engrave your own AirTags with the "forbidden" stuff like unicorn poo or "69".

Forgot to order them at launch at 10pm local time, so ordered first thing in the morning. I'm receiving my keychain today and the tags in 4-5 weeks
UPS says by 7:00pm tomorrow. UPS better deliver earlier than that. I got places to go, things to lose, and AirTags to use.
Yea, I think that’s the standard window for tomorrow. I’m just expecting the Belkin Key Chains tomorrow. My UPS App says by 7pm as well. Deliveries are usually “By 5pm” for me.
I talked to the driver when they were next door today and he said the 30th will be a tough day. He will have a second person with him running packages to and from the truck.
Stated his truck will have around 200 of the little brown box’s from A.I.
Couldn’t be bothered waiting a month just so I could get it engraved, there’s a apple logo on the other side at least. 🤪😂
same here. estimated arrival for my airtag was may 4-7. now expected to arrive april 30th. my accessory however is expected to arrive may 4-7, so im not sure if it will arrive with the airtag or not.
I picked up my pre-order from Noel Leeming, Queen St in Auckland this afternoon. They had maybe 10 each of the 4 and single packs left, and lots of the brown key rings, but I think they only got their delivery late this afternoon.
I got a 4 pack and the red and blue key rings for my wife and I. I can see me buying another 4 pack later to put in bags and things once I’ve had a play with them.
They are thicker than I was expecting too, and that may limit their usefulness for some applications.
