No more lost Apple TV remote 😉😁

Fits snug in between the bottom of the remote & silicon underneath bump!

That secure holder looks like something else...

LOL.. joke aside, there will be tons of 3rd party cheap holder/keyrings for the Tag. This accessory will be the new moneymaker for Apple. Downside is, subway station janitors will sweep tons of these pucks lying around the train.

AirTag four-pack arrived in a far-flung corner of Wales. About half an hour earlier than expected.

One of the reasons is that partner is a leather worker and maker of various things -so she can have one for her purposes.

Well, we're jealous of pricing, in general our exchange rate is not favourable v USD. :( lol

Ain’t that the truth.

Here in NZ, take whatever the USA price is for thing (x), then convert it to NZD. Multiply that figure by 1.15 to account for GST. Now multiply it by 1.15 again for the “because you live in NZ, therefore frak you” markup. Now you have the cost translated into NZ pricing.

I'm waiting for generation two with rechargeable built in batteries. A third generation could have a solar cell coating to recharge from which would be an incentive to the owners to leave possessions where they are more visible with ambient sunlight recharging, instead of hiding stuff in all sorts of drawers and car pockets, like me. Generation four: solar, eSIM and IP67 for enhanced privacy and wider coverage then I can attach to cat's collar and track my puddy tat.

Got mine in U.K. just now. Nice. Already way less hassle than Tile. At last my wife can’t lose the Mini Keys. Key ring won’t arrive until tomorrow though. The belkin one looks like the most minimal - but out of stock till June. Might have a go at 3D printing one.

Hmm... Built in Battery or Recyclable Cheap long lasting 2032s... For once apple did the right thing Re Batteries. Gen 2 won’t have rechargeable batteries. It might have a key ring hole though!!

Solar - Given the point of these is they are hidden... bit pointless and a cell that size would need to be out for an age to change.

Yes... leave our Car Keys / Bags in front of a window ( where solar isn’t great anyway ). Why not just leave them in the garden?

E-sim... dont’t think you realise ho much power that would use.

Cat collar - Do it anyway. Cats hate water! also it would be in a neoprene collar or something.

Hold on a minute. You can’t let anyone else share the location... Surely the main use of these is Car Keys, which is likely shared by family... so they’d need to be able to look for them too... but you can’t do that it seems!?

If I had a bag to track I'd put the airtag inside it where it's less likely to accidentally get detached or damaged or shows a thief immediately there's an airtag there so they can remove it straight away.

Don't understand why people put them on the outside, extra expense and less secure even if marginally.

To let theives know it’s worth pinching of course.

Cool. Here in Texas, last night I got an email from UPS saying that my Belkin secure holder with key ring would be arriving from Apple today. This morning, it's changed to a "Never mind, we'll update you later", and so far, just the label is created. Apple still says May 3-5, and May 17-24 for the AirTag (engraved).
