All 13"s have a huge screen problem, it's just leaking at the bottom!

You could see it sometimes on a white background with particular light, but
the ultimate test is black background in the dark room.

Shame on you AAAAAApple!!!

Garbage this post.

This has already been documented many times on these forums. We don't need another thread qqing about the issue at the bottom of your screen.

Garbage you, this is a real problem!!!

Nobody has denied this is a problem. Why do you open another thread? There already exists a bunch of related threads. The valuable information is scattered by opening duplicated threads.

if it bothers you so much, don't buy one and don't troll the macbook air forums

I am just trying to raise this issue, so maybe Apple will get it.

I really like 20011 MacBook Air for the boot time, new OS, speed, design, etc

but if [people] like you will continue to buy defective screens Apple wouldn't do anything.

The thinness madness

It's an unfortunate effect of having a screen that is millimeters thin.

Perhaps it's a very unwise way to try and get everything (iPhones and screens and what not) AS THIN AS POSSIBLE, or in fact really: IMPOSSIBLE and still having a good quality! What is the point, really? It IS a point of having a thin device, but somewhere along the way, it no longer makes any practical sense to make it even thinner, and it seems it has been a kind of obsession for the designers to make things thinner and thinner.

And especially, if there turns out to be such a price to pay as a bleeding or leaking screen, I would much more have a screen 2-3 mm "thicker" than have such a problem or any other problem that comes with this thinness madness.

But I am afraid I am talking to deaf ears...

What? What will Apple get if you rant on a forum like a 16 year old? Return the computer and tell them why you are returning it.

Agreed. If you have a problem with an Apple product (as in, the product itself) go to Apple if you want to give them feedback. Their own support forum would be a much better place.

Funny .. if you really want to raise this issue so maybe Apple would get it .. why make thread here then? At least you should go to discussions.apple.com .. or if you feel goode enough, mail Steve to tell how suck your MBA 13" display is

But the most logical action you should do is come to Apple Store and ask for replacement.

I did exchange it once, will try it again tomorrow, but if all of you are aware of the problem and still accepting THIS, probably it will go down at Apple store, and I will get my $ back and get something not so THIN and faulty.

BTW

I still have Pioneer PDP for the reason, if you get it.

Well done.

In this guy's defense, I was unaware of the severity of the issue with the 13" models until after I purchased mine.

People can whine and moan about LG vs Samsung but a guy can't make a thread describing arguably a much bigger issue? Some people are just now getting into the MBA game, saying that there were threads in the past about it doesn't help them.

Except that it is NOT a problem for many, and some people are out just to slander(not to mention throw around childish insults to anyone who does not agree with him).

There are many more civilized approaches he could have took if he wanted to be taken seriously.

He is trolling. There are many more civilized approaches he could have took if he wanted to be taken seriously.

I think you get it a while a go, and now can not return it.
Pure thing, go defense yourself.

Here is a civilised response - I don't know what you're talking about since my 2011 13" does not have the issue that you describe and my screen back-light is certainly not leaking at the bottom. (see screenshot below)

In your screenshot, are you talking about the lit-up area around "Macbook Air"? Are you sure that's not a reflection of your keyboard back lighting?

Here's a thought:
If you think that it's faulty then don't buy it.
I doubt that you have actually purchased one.

In the end, if it's as terrible as you say, it will be a market failure.

You're new tothw forum and your post is such a braod generalization. It's hard not to assume that you're trolling. Plus, your tone is that of an angry adolescent.
