Because not everyone wants a piano black phone? I would have been seriously pissed of if there was no matt black phone.
I'm more surprised they offered the jet Black option...

Held both up close today- if u rock a case most of the time- the jet black is definitely the one to take

Why do people upgrade every version? I just don't get it. Like a good Zoshirushi rice cooker, as long as it performs its function well there is no need for a new one unless the old model poops out or there is an evolution of the product, like having a novel way of preparing quinoa.
Well for me this year it's the capacity. Being able to carry several movies and entire seasons of The Walking Dead for 8 hour flights across the pond, as well as the camera and battery improvements were important to me.

New home button? Like getting a new Rice Cooker just because it has a touch Start button. New camera? I'd just as soon save for a great DSLR and work towards taking professional-grade photos. I have a 6s+, to each his own but I see no compelling reason to upgrade this cycle.
No one is asking you to upgrade.

I like to take pics and share them on the go. My DSLR doesn't do that.

Or maybe the job they have doesn't have the traditional 9-5 or 8-5 hours, and they have extra time Friday morning before they have to report to work. You don't know everyone's individual situations.
Or they work a compressed work week and have Fridays off. Or they have taken a vacation day. Which knows.
I've taken a vacation day during past launches for things like this.

Then don't buy it. Literally no one cares.
