iPhone X All Screen Notchless In-Display Touch ID or Face ID Notch Display Poll

Having all screen Touch ID doesn't necessarily mean there would be no notch considering there is still a good bit of tech we require in that space. So it's more a question of all screen Touch ID vs Face ID. Not requiring any physical input to unlock is still a better solution in my eyes (Touch ID would likely require user input and then a swipe). I would rather Apple just improve upon Face ID (likely), better angles, more accurate, faster, etc.

Maybe a narrow level top (and bottom if needed) bezel of a couple millimeters to accommodate the hardware. I am one of those who can't stand that notch.

You mean, that's an 'issue' depending on the circumstance. You don't have to pick up the iPhone X in order unlock it. There has been many times where You can touch the display and hovering over unlocks it without even thinking about the process.
Tough call being that we don’t know where Apple is headed with Face ID

You could swap the Touch/Face ID options in the poll, & I'd still go the all screen option.

Once tech is able to not be in that top notch area you'll bet your ass phone manufacturers will have a truly all screen display. Putting the phone speaker/calls in the top area like this and imbedding a camera in this area also.

I don’t have an iPhone X so don’t have experience with Face ID yet. I’m also in the camp who is not bothered by the notch. I understand it’s purpose. The only other option was for Apple to have a black bar all the way across so there didn’t appear to be a notch.
As far as Touch ID goes, I would love to have in screen Touch ID in a full screen device. The only problem is, where will all of the other tech go that’s in the notch? It isn’t just the tech for Face ID thats in the notch so some sort of bar or notch would have to remain. I’ve always been a huge fan of Touch ID and was hoping Apple was going in that direction but they’ve chosen Face ID so don’t expect Apple to put Touch ID on any new iPhones from here on. The 8/8 Plus are the last of Touch ID. Apple invested a ton of money in Face ID and they bragged on how much more secure it is than Touch ID. We have to remember, it will only get better and better. Compare Touch ID on the iPhone 5S to Touch ID on the iPhone 7/8.

They will have phones that have what I showed with the camera up next to the frame(like the speaker) in the next few years just you watch.

I know people just bought an iPhone X and would like Face ID to improve, but in-display fingerprint scanner just sounds better.
My phones are usually either next to me or charging. If I hear a notification, I would like to unlock the phone in the dark while my eyes are still closed and before I even raise the phone to my face.
Think of Schiller saying iPad Pro replacing a Mac. That's asinine. It's a mobile OS vs desktop. A keyboard of a Mac is still superior to an added keyboard of an iPad. Easier to touch type (blind type).
I would prefer unlocking my phone without looking. It's laying on the table and it is already unlocked before I pick it up. Samsung gets first dibs while still keeping its iris scanner which works pretty well already.
The iPhone X is about compromise over choice. Buyer's remorse will start to boil within a year or so if it's not happening now. Same thing happened to Galaxy S6 edge and Note5 in 2015. Lacked IP rating, microSD slot, and removable battery. Two out of three came back by 2016.

It was used to show what I was talking about. I didn’t need to show the chin of the phone to get my point across.
You may not like it but for many people and many use cases this is exactly what is happening.

What I would like to see and purchase next would be a notch-less full screen device with both touch ID under the screen and face ID available.
Give me the option of using either one and decide what I like best at different times.
Also I dont care about wireless charging at all, make the device stronger with a nice anodized metal back.

You didn’t get your point across because it doesn’t show a camera. Also a camera is a different shape compared to a speaker, which is elongated.
It’s more likely they would put it under the display.

Even just give it a try. I realise it's difficult to break old habits, but there are options for you to maybe eradicate your grievances.

So let's break your post down into two parts. You said the iPhone X is about compromise over choice. In a sense, Apple has never been really about choice, as they have one specific way of how they do things virtually throughout their product lineup.
Apple is not like Samsung in terms of decision making, so that's not really an appropriate comparison, because Apple is not really one to take away a hardware feature and then reintroduce it later on as Samsung has.
For example, Apple took away the headphone jack with the iPhone 7, what if they were to re-introduce that later into another iPhone model in the future, wouldn't that show some sort a type of insecurity in their decision to remove it in the first place? What about touch ID? Do you think Apple will re-introduce the home button physically again later the future? No, as Tim Cook stated Face ID is the iPhones future.
Apple does make compromises with their productline, it's questionable is if it benefits the user or not. That's debatable. But everybody uses different features and functions separately, which doesn't affect everybody the same way. But that's how this company is, they are not afraid to take initiative and doing something that might have backlash behind it.

First of all, I was the biggest Face ID hater about a month ago before I actually got an iPhone X.
Today, when I jump on my iPad and actually have to use Touch ID I cannot stand it, it’s inconvenient.
You need an option on your poll that says “I don’t see the Notch and I like Face ID, Touch ID is a thing of the past”
