All the cool cases are only for the 3g and 3gs.. whats up with that?

Some people just throw money away.. when you have people like me that cant afford decent groceries.. might as well take a stack of hundreds and torch them.

If you can't afford decent groceries, why are you wasting a ton of money every month paying for 2 iPhones? You have paid thousands over the life of owning that phone.

But I digress. There are no "good" cases (despite there being several that actually do exist) because that phone is 2 years old, which is a lifetime in cell phone years. Not to mention there's about 20x more iPhone 3G/3GS models out there than there were v1s, so would you make a case for an audience of thousands or an audience of millions, if you were a manufacturer? Yeah, I thought so.

Yes I can be pleased, but, I I am a BROKE law student.. I do not have the money to buy the new phone... and I DID look.. I have been looking for weeks for a cheap 1st gen iphone case.. I have a gelly case on it.. and I feel it does not protect it enough. I just need a good case in case I drop the thing, I dont have to buy a new phone.. It is much cheaper to spend 20 bucks on a case versus 300 for a new phone. But I want one that is stylish, not bulky and hideous.

and I have a question.. Why do half the people who went out and bought the 3gs or the 3g act like the 1st generation is a piece of **** that should be trashed? Or ruined? I would NEVER spray paint my phone that cost me 500 bucks when it first came out!!! That is stupidity. My husband and I saved for weeks to get 2 iphones a few months after they came out... he would be SUPER pissed if I did something intentional like that.

What radio/radios made it no longer able to have a metal back? Is the addition of the 3G radio a problem?

You remember when the original iPhone was released with that plastic cover? That's why. They choose to have an all plastic back rather than an antenna cover.

I am on a friends plan and I only pay 30 bucks a month for my phone thank you very much.. I only have 1 iPhone.. where did you get that I had 2? And I got the phone for free.. because I traded my blackberry storm for it.

I just want a decent case because if I DROP the phone, I want it to have a little more protection. My god!

go On ebay LIKE i MENTIONED search iphone 1st gen or original lots of cases the cases you showed in your original you could have a least 5 cases to fit your mood. also go on youtube look at dome reviews. google search iphone cases 1st gen there are still lots of sellers out there. take a deep breath count to 10.

Wow really? I thought that this argument was over. When the 1st iPhones came out my husband and I saved for weeks to get them. We bought two. I broke mine and being not able to pay 200 bucks for a new one, he sold his and we started using our old phones. Then we swapped to Verizon last year. I gave my sister in law my line and picked up a line on att with a friend of mine. I traded with a guy who wanted the storm for his 2g iphone. So I paid nothing for the phone.. (Unless you count the 50 bucks I spent for the BB months before I sold it) My plan is 20 bucks a month for unlimited data, and the 9.99 for the extra line. She has unlimited family texting which she does not make me pay for.. So the way i look at it, i got the iphone for free.. I got my use out of the storm.. but trading the storm for a iphone I thought was a good deal (and you would too if you have ever dealt with the storm)

I explained all of this before but because of a conflict that a member and I had, the whole conversation was deleted.
