Submit feedback. It's a beta.

If it's making you unhappy, you really should stop using beta software. The reason Apple offers beta versions of macOS is to help them find bugs that need fixing.

Whenever you use beta software, you should be prepared to encounter bugs and a lot of frustration in return for using bleeding-edge features.

Final release of High Sierra has just hit. It’s fully stabilized and works well. Why aren’t you using a finished release if debugging beta software isn’t your thing?

I’ve beta tested Windows, OS/2, Linux (many distros), MSDOS, DRDOS,PCDOS, and much more.

I assure you, macOS 10.14 is no worse, and better than most during beta testing. You expect way too much at this point.

I'm experiencing the same exact issue as you have on Safari, Tweetbot, where the issue doesn't happen when using other browsers. Except I'm running HS 10.13.6 and it started since maybe the last two previous releases. I don't have the time currently to see if it happens on a fresh install, but if it doesn't, it could be something we have installed? Do you remember if you installed any new third-party software in the two days?

For Tweetbot 3, do you mind reproducing the stuttering and then proceed to settings to turn off the auto-play video in timeline? After that do you still get the stuttering?

I'm not sure what Apple did, installed, ninja installed but the last 2 days have been a nightmare.

cannot use Safari at all anymore. In addition, TweetBot 3 has been broken as well.

Videos stutter, will not play smoothly AT ALL (yes I've tried your suggestions, it's broken)

TweetBot 3 causes *System Wide" stuttering, including unplayable videos.

I've been reduced to using Chrome... if beta 7 doesn't fix the basic functions of video playback and using your laptop you know.. like normal, I'll be forced back to Windows.

Shiny new surface pro is looking really good about now.. This is pathetic.
same problem here. also Netflix and amazon prime do not work at all. strange thing is.. I had this problem with beta 2.. then it was fixed with beta 4.. now it's back with the latest beta. also the webcam doesn't work in safari. tried a clean install. didn't make a difference

sos sos sos
iceberg hit hit
my safari surfing
youtube the bow
broke many videos
perished into the sea
of internets.

TweetBot seems to cause the stuttering as soon as it's launched. I don't have to start watching a video for the stutter to begin.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled Mojave, I had CleanMyMac 3 and X (beta) and I've removed everything, reinstalled again. Stutter continues to happen.

It can't be a hardware failure inside of a 3 month old MacBook Pro... impossible. right?

If it's not stuttering under macOS High Sierra, do you think they will leave it stuttering under macOS Mojave?

Complaining about your frustration on a random forum rather than being sensible and submitting feedback to Apple via Feedback Assistant is not going to make Apple engineers aware of the problem.

Have you done that yet? Seriously, how do you expect something to be fixed if you don't make them aware of it? There can be a number of factors that cause Safari to become "sluggish". It might require a specific hardware and software configuration to reproduce the problem. When you submit feedback via the Feedback Assistant, they ask for this information for that very reason.

Submit feedback and give allowances for beta software.

It’s a beta, totally normal for stuff not to work. When you do find it report it and move on. And don’t install betas on your main working machine, that is just silly.

Unfortunately your attempt to "teach me a lesson" will not work as the issue I'm experiencing happens to users of both High Sierra and Mojave.

Sorry pal.
If you have the same problem in High Sierra I would look for the root cause somewhere else.

If you're going to treat folks trying to help that way, don't expect much help.

My suggestions:
- GET RID of Chrome. It's a resource hog, You might try "Chromium" instead (but that might be a resource hog, too).
- I don't know what TweetBot is, but I'll bet that's got something to do with it. I'd remove it, at least temporarily.

Something else to do -- this won't hurt anything and you can just delete it later.
1. Open System Preferences
2. Click "users and groups"
3. Click the lock and enter your password
4. Click the "+" sign above the lock to add a NEW account
5. Make sure you give it administrative privileges
6. Create the new account, but don't put anything "into it" -- you want it to be "just Apple stuff".
7. Now, reboot
8. Log into the NEW "test account" and use it for a while.

Do things suddenly get much better?
If they do, then it's -something- YOU put into the regular account that's causing problems.
The trouble is that these things can be hard as heck to find.
But sometimes it's the only way.

Issue persists in todays Beta 8 of Mojave. Not looking good if your OS doesn't have working browser.

We've tried everything. Nothing works / fixes it. There is another thread with same issues / video proof on high sierra as well. It's GG for Safari.

Today i went to work in the morning and left my MBP unplugged with the lid closed. I just came home for lunch break, opened it and the bug is gone at the moment. It has to have something to do with the not plugging it in part because normally I do that before I leave. This thing is getting stranger and stranger. Did anyone have the same experience?

So strange. I'm experiencing the same scenario. I guess we can't charge our MacBooks with the lid closed now.. lol@Apple
