I will always want the lighter option. I’ve never had an issue with my iPhone being aluminum.
It matters. Hence the iPhone Air. It’s something you hold and carry with you everywhere. A reduction in weight is always appreciated by me.I don’t know why everyone wants a lighter phone. It’s a phone. We’re debating something that weighs half a pound at the absolute most. What are you, a mouse?
Marketing team will get their ideas to sell this as the best ever Aluminium to the userIt’s so great that they’re charging us more for a downgraded, less premium product. Thank you Tim!
The material that your current models offers is always the best.So according to the article, aluminum is better than titanium. Apple should charge more for it.
Repetitive strain injury is exacerbated by the weight of the phone. I have a 15 pro and I still use my iphone 6 which is infinitely more comfortable to use for long periods.I don’t know why everyone wants a lighter phone. It’s a phone. We’re debating something that weighs half a pound at the absolute most. What are you, a mouse?
That's two comments and two complaints. You need at least three before you gain full acceptance into this community. In all seriousness, I'd bet you are in the minority for not wanting the Pro and Pro Max to potentially weigh less.I don’t know why everyone wants a lighter phone. It’s a phone. We’re debating something that weighs half a pound at the absolute most. What are you, a mouse?
The rumored price increased? Did I read that correctly? You're complaining about the rumored price of an unannounced phone? More people on this forum should consider walking in nature. Do forums naturally lead to nihilism, or is it specific to this forum? So this us why the price is rumored to increase. Aluminium instead of titanium. 🫥
This will only make a tiny glimpse of production costs. So this us why the price is rumored to increase. Aluminium instead of titanium. 🫥
The comparison to bikes is pretty on point. It’s the same here, every company advertised the used material of their bikes as the best.I like my Titanium iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I always felt that advertising based on the metal used in a phone was odd. Titanium bicycle frames over aluminum? Lots of benefits at a cost premium. But on a phone it honestly makes no difference to me at all. I have owned Aluminum, Stainless, and Titanium iPhones, as well as plastic. I am not a huge fan of plastic, though I have had nice polycarbonate phones as well. To me the thing that has differentiated my iPhones the least was which metal was used in the device. I think moving from the “Glass Sandwich” design is probably a good thing, but then again I am not an engineer or industrial designer. I just hope that the huge camera bump really is needed for a massive camera upgrade.
Hideous..
Wonder how they will market going back to aluminium after how they hyped Titanium.
Keeping my 15PM for a long time, then switching to Android.
I dunno how anybody could argue that aluminum is an upgrade over titanium...
Here’s the secret: there was never very much titanium. It was an aluminum unibody with a titanium facade. So this us why the price is rumored to increase. Aluminium instead of titanium. 🫥
When I think back to the stainless steel on the Xs… it felt nicetitanium was nice, but I feel like it solved a non-existent problem. aluminium was always the more appropriate material. and stainless steel phones were always dumb.
You mean the $50 price reduction for the 256 GB model? You need to hget your TDS looked at. It is hampering your ability to do simple math.I don’t really care that it’ll be aluminum. I’ll appreciate the thermal benefits and weight reduction. That camera bump though… baby got BACK.
And the price bump is because of Taco. Aim your ire there.
You mean the one with hinge problems and paint chipping? And still USB 1 too in 2003?At this point, I'm almost sure the iPhone 15 Pro will be always remembered as a modern-day equivalent of PowerBook G4 Titanium. Proud to own one.
Every time. I haven’t seen any confirmation that 256Gb will be the new base (it was only a supposition from MR staff). Apple likely would have bumped the base storage anyway to stay competitive. Just like they did when they removed the 64Gb iPhones without a price bump. You mean the $50 price reduction for the 256 GB model? You need to hget your TDS looked at. “I am carrying something that weighs 4 ounces”It matters. Hence the iPhone Air. It’s something you hold and carry with you everywhere. A reduction in weight is always appreciated by me.
This might be the first time in my life I’ve ever been referred to as a gym bro. I can assure you I am not. But I have never had any difficulty using any iPhone I’ve ever had one-handed, even the 14 Pro Max which I believe is officially the heaviest the iPhone ever got. It’s very much the contrary, using the iPhone one-handed is actually something I do quite often.Every time. Thankfully Apple understands (even if you don’t) that every gram can make a difference in usability for a device that is meant to be held in one hand.
