I don't know about you, but a fingerprint thingamy for my iPhone isn't on the top of my list. I have a laptop with the fingerprinty thingamy, and it's a pain in my... finger. Not entirely consistent. But maybe Apple can work some iFinger magic!

yeah they usually preview it in March and release it in June/July, but last Summer they previewed it in June and launched it September.
maybe they're changing things up this year though.
June preview and then a July-September release maybe.

theirs actually glows in different colors which implies that u got a missed fb notification (blue), whatsapp notification (green), phone call (yellow) etc. without having to look at the phone. so there is actually some kind of innovation going on

The linear-oscillating vibrator in iPhone 4S is said to be quieter and softer, thus being less annoying than a rotational motor. I guess somehow that's not ideal for most people as they can't feel the notifications the phone wants the user to know.
