I've only used half of the storage on my 128Gb 7 Plus, so I'd be happy with another 128.

Having said that, all the 4K stuff that's coming...

only used 32GB on my 7.... i guess 64GB would be enough for me.

but i'm likely buying the bigger one anyway... just can't help myself

This is true! Isn't the iPhone X suppose to support 4K at 60fps? sure I read that somewhere.

I am going from 256GB to 64GB, I never got close to using the space at all.

My current iPhone is 128GB, and while I don't store a lot of media on it, iCloud Photo Library was happy to keep a lot of stuff local (60GB last I checked). I probably could go to 64GB but will likely go to whatever the next option up is.

Yeah, definitely looks like we're getting 4K60. Though with HEVC the storage requirements will likely be offset a bit.

128GB would be perfect, but I doubt they will give that option. I think they should just have 128, 256, and 512 for the X.

On the other hand, iOS11 is supposed to save 50% in storage with new video/image formats ;)

Be interesting how many go with the 512GB option and how much there will be stock wise. Might be easier to get the 512GB option if not many go for that option.

I currently have 40GB left on my 7 plus 256GB and about 50GB on my iPad Pro 256GB..so really it's not unreasonable to expect 512GB could be useful

another reason to go for the bigger ones: the past has shown, that they are often faster ;)

Every Apple device I've bought, from the 3G onwards, I've bought the top tier. However, think I'll go 256 with the X.
Same. I have zero need for more than 256. And I take tons of photos and am incredibly lazy about deleting multiples of the same shot (my camera roll has 12,138 on it, and I have numerous other folders full of higher-res photos I've shot myself at shows and the like); even still, I have 89.6 GB free currently.

Sounds like me ... I also have Apple Music and download everything. My 10.5 iPad Pro is 512GB and that's where all my movies are.

Fake, since we already know (from the leaked GM) that the A11 is gonna be a six-core, not a four-core. So if that's already incorrect than the rest is not to be trusted as well.

I wouldn't call fake so quick since the A10 quad cores aren't 'true' quad cores in the sense they all run at same clock speeds. I'm pretty certain the two Zephyr cores run at a lower clock speed.

Whereas in the leak the 4 cores highlighted all seem to be marketed as running at the same clock speed so it doesn't rule out the possibility of 4+2 happening.

Also from memory didn't geek bench not see the low powered cores at all so in effect they are hidden from any app and only used by iOS itself if I am not mistaken?

Based on this leak from Geskin, it conflicts with your claims below regarding the 64 GB model. Apple will disclose This shortly.
Many would want 128GB so of course Apple knows that since it's not being offered they can get another $100 or so to make everyone up to 256GB. Same story every year. SAD!

Does avg user really need 4K video on a phone? Other than videographers, who needs it?

Are you serious? 4k is a great format for clear video, people take all kinds of different video, from home videos to professional ones and the clarity of 4K is appreciated.

My 6s Plus has less than 9GB (out of 64) of available storage left. I'll definitely be preordering the 256GB version.
