I think no physical button fits perfectly Apple's way of thinking waterproofing, more so than, for example, a layer of rubber than would risk thickening *gasp* the iPhone.
I tried blurring and darkening the second photo in photoshop, and managed to make the ring match the same "thickness" as the first photo. The circle thickness in those two different images are completely different. Are they supposed to be of the same handset?
Apple doesn't have to wait. They have unused side areas of the phone, plus the entire back. I think Apple is making its usual slow transition. The home button on the iPhone is iconic and everyone's gotten used to it. Now Apple needs to change people's behavior and they're doing so gradually, just like with slide-to-unlock.To get the general public used to using a "button" that doesn't move....therefore when it's all screen in the future they can place the "button" wherever they like.
How does it function without the click?
-tap = closing apps
-double tap = multitasking
-triple tap = accessibility menu
How do I authenticate with Touch ID in apps if one tap closes the app? How do I pull the interface down for one hand use if double tap is then multitasking?
Yup, that looks more xiaomi than apple iphone
Home Buttons? Whatever next? Waterproofing? Curved screens? OLED displays? Can Apple be the first to bring that to mobile phones too? If so, then competition had better look out, readers.
(PS:: I've been on another planet for last two years so if any other manufacturer has brought those out since then please disregard my last comment)
Or they will change the message to "touch to unlock"Considering apple just replaced "Slide to Unlock" with "press home to unlock" I'm going to assume this is fake
Sorry, but what a ridiculous statement. 10+ years ago when I knew nothing about Apple but I heard of this iPod thing and went to go look at it at the store and maybe even play with it, the moment I first touched it was probably an awesome "wow, clever" feel. You're telling me you get that same feel when looking at a sensor placement??The "proximity sensor above speaker" design present on almost every iPhone to date is a design hallmark that I would consider comparable to that of the iPod's click wheel. This just looks wrong.
You must absolutely hate this car then...Same Design for years, boring
But what's the advantage?
