This design would be acceptable if people laid their phones on the table face down. They don't.

Thanks to the pointless camera bump on the iPhone 6, I actually lay my iphone facedown now. No camera bump might be reason enough for me to get the iPhone 7. I would kill for a thicker phone with better battery life and a larger camera instead, though.

Camera bulge will still be there, but it'll have a raised lip around it to "blend" it better. It'll still rock on a table though. Leaked pics confirmed it.

Just saw that. Man that phone looks rancid, TBH. I was really hoping Apple would move away from this ugly iPhone 6 styling. Instead tehy've doubled down and made it worse.

Lol I happen to agree, and even though I think it's better than than the 6/6S, it's still the round design that I dislike. I also happen to agree that while looking much less ugly (no better way to describe it, lol) I due think the 7 looks much more bland on the back without the antenna's to break it up. Either way, it looks lackluster, and I think the Nexus 6P's design blows it away.

Now, this design alone would be able to wipe out all the competition, without even counting the new hardware features.
That looks like something apple would once do to bring something different to the table.

That design actually has a lot of design cues from Apple's MacBook line. And there's nothing wrong with that
