Yea, the current mac mini already has way more internal space than the 14 inch macbook pro, so it wouldn't have to be bigger to accomodate the M1 Max

I think that’s how they are making money nowadays and getting the clicks. Apple really doubled down on the secrecy. It’s not easy anymore.
If that its going to be true , thickness allow apple to proper cool and hold an 2x M1 max

M1 and thus most likely M2 (and M2 Pro/Max) use 'unified RAM'. It is part of the non-user-expandable package. So with 99% certainty: it will not be user expandable. Expandable storage might be, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one either, seeing Apple did not make that happen in any of their recent machines.
You should reset your expectations. Memory isn't ever coming back off the SoC. It's a central feature to performance of every aspect of Apple Silicon. Every single aspect. Without memory fabric, there's NO Apple Silicon. Without memory integrated into the SoC, there's no memory fabric. So stop.
memory - not really, since its basically integrated into the SoC
m.2 storage - why not? maybe not replaceable, but expandable (additional m.2 slot or two)
The size seems to indicate that it could house a HDD, which would be awesome. Though I highly doubt Apple will allow RAM upgrades but I sure hope I’m wrong!
What's with all the bogus renders being published as "leaks"?!? Just call them what they are: Artists' guesses.

There's already a Mac Mini in the store now with a $3K price tag.
This smells like about $5K+ territory to me... iMac Pro (pricing) minus the screen, keyboard and mouse.
But I'll hope right with you my price guess being too high.

All M1 chip variations have unified memory so that's probably impossible. But adding more storage would be welcome!
