iPadOS 16, Beta 3. Every single time I copy and paste between apps, I get this ****ing pop up, or variants thereof. How do I turn this thing off?

I get the privacy deal with clipboard. But options, please.

"Turn Off when pasting between app X and app Y."
Or "Always Allow between app X and app Y", like the add tracking.

Every single time! Yes, FFS, yes. I've already allowed it 5 times between app X and app Y. Just paste!

You know what this reminds me of? THE MICROSOFT PAPERCLIP!
Yes, I know I'm writing a letter. No, I do not need your help because I know how to write a letter!

No, I do not need you to ask my permission because I know I am copying and pasting between apps!

They should add a way to „always allow“ for apps we trust.
I’m hoping they’ll do this.

I like that it asks permission, if you noticed ever since we got the paste notification in the first place, lots of random apps would just paste..

But it should have similar behavior as asking for location; allow once, always allow, etc.

I was seeing this when pasting copied website text into a document in FileBrowser Pro. It popped up every couple of pastes, not for every one. Then while doing the exact same last night and today, the popup has stopped appearing.

this **** is annoying. they need to add an "always allow" if they are set on asking us at all.

Highlighting text and using drag and drop rather than copy and paste does not bring up the pop up.

Example. This webpage on the left, a Pages doc on the right. Copy and paste one line of text from this webpage into Pages. It asks. Copy and paste a different line. It asks. Copy and paste the first line again. It asks. This must be some new usage of the word “awesome” of which I was not previously aware.

Look: its a beta and a new feature. It’s a bug. Report it and see if its fixed in the next beta or if they act on your feedback. There’s no sense getting all agitated over this while its in beta.

This has always been poorly designed and still is. Letting apps secretly paste without permission was bad. Tattling on apps but with no option to restrict or give permission was bad. Forcing you to give double permission every single time you want to paste is also poor design. Hopefully they will get this right by the final version after 15 years.

Whoever implemented it and tested in QA should be kicked from work. It’s annoying anti UX feature without god damn “Allow always”

Yes, I am SW/HW tester…

I see the reason of getting agitated over it. I'm genuinely scared someone thinks that's a great idea and sees it as a feature working as intended. You know, privacy, yada yada yada. So let's see if they will indeed fix it at some point.

Except that it is not clear that it is a bug. I reported it and it works the same in the newest beta.
