As the title says, how are you guys enjoying the Apple Watch Ultra?

I am really liking it - very well designed and feels great while wearing.

I’m thinking about ordering one of the ocean bands — currently wearing the Green Alpine loop (came with watch)

Love this watch.

I've had every AW since S0, with S5, S6, and S7 Ti Edition models. The Ultra is better in every way, easily the best by a good margin.

Re: Bands...I originally wanted the Trail loop, but didn't want to wait a month for my watch, so I went with the Alpine.

Ended up NOT liking the Alpine, so I found an AWU for pickup with the midnight Ocean band.

WOW was I surprised at how comfortable the Ocean is, and the blue is PERFECT against the Ti. This will be a great band for swimming. Did I mention that it's comfortable?? Amazing.

I've got a black/grey Trail loop on order, of course. Love that pop of orange on the tab and those Ti lugs!!

How is the Ocean for everyday use? I'm thinking of switching out my Alpine. I really liked my old Nike band- is the Ocean similar? The Alpine is ok, I like that it's light, but I don't like that when it gets wet. Also, sometimes I feel I can't get it right - either it's too tight or too lose.

That was one of my main gripes with the Alpine. Then I wondered how it would be wet from swimming or sweating? And of course, I kept smacking the Ultra with the Ti hook, haha!!

The Ocean is super comfortable. It took me completely by surprise. From the pictures, I thought it would be bulky and stiff. In person it's the opposite. Slim, very pliable and soft, and it seems to have better ventilation than the Sport bands. I wear it all day and it feels great.

The fit is perfect. It's got enough stretch to find the sweet spot. Plus, I dig the Ti buckle and strap keeper.

I also bought one in yellow, but I'm on the fence. The color is great, but I don't know how long it will look that nice with me wearing it, haha!!

tl;dr...The midnight Ocean band is awesome. Slim, soft, comfortable, and looks GREAT with the Ti :D

ETA: I also have a black/grey Trail loop on order, because the Sport loops are my favorite bands. But I'm keeping the Ocean band. It's that good.

Its excellent. Easily two days on the wrist. The screen is great, the brightness outside is incredible. Worried about scratching it but oh well.

Love it. I upgraded from Series 4 and it is quite a step up. I got the green alpine loop and it’s very comfortable. I’ll probably pick up the midnight ocean band as well.

I was getting bored with the original form factor of the watch and the Ultra is a welcome change.

Refreshing design after owning series 0 and 5, great battery life and versatile in terms of fitting with different bands.

Yeah mine has the ocean band and I think it’s the best band going as it’s so soft and pliable and comfortable. The bands are easy to get as there is no huge order times either. I have the blue and yellow ocean bands. The design is a nice change from the series 8 as that design is now effectively seven years old.

I like the Ultra (don’t love it), but going back on forth on returning it. I feel like it’s a little too big (I have a 180mm wrist) and serious concerns about durability - nicks and scratches on the case bother me more than worrying about the front glass shattering.

The Ultra definitely looks better in person though than in pictures although the bezel is large and it is very chunky.

I'm in love with it. Lets me be able to have that big and bulky watch feel. I also had doubts on the ocean band, but now have ordered 2 additional colors.

Love it!

My Series 4 was down to about four hours on a charge, so I was constantly charging it. I’ve been gun-shy about battery level on the Ultra, but it’s clear now that charging it while I’m in the shower is more than plenty to get to the next day’s shower and then some, even wearing it overnight. Even before the battery on the Series 4 took a nosedive, I was leaving it on the charger overnight.

The display is gorgeous. Always-on is great! I’m unexpectedly loving the new watch face with the built-in compass … I had been going pretty strongly towards minimalistic faces on the Series 4, and I might eventually do so again with the Ultra; for now, super-complicated is surprisingly nice. And the bigger size in all the other settings is quite welcome to my old eyes.

I have been bitten by the “microphone in use” bug. I had thought that it was the “raise to speak” feature of Siri, and I still think it might be a contributing factor, but I’ve had it hit even with that off. Regardless, it’s clear it’s software and so will almost certainly be fixed in a week or two with an update.

All the smartwatch features are really nice — far more responsive, etc., than with the Series 4.

I’m active, but not hard-core. But a lot of the hard-core features are still at least as nice as I expected. Starting with the battery, of course. We go hiking — nowhere far and nowhere extreme, but it’s still surprisingly nice to use Backtrack and have no doubt whether to go left or right at the fork to get back to the car. That’ll be trebly so the next time we go on a new-to-us trail.

And gardening is nowhere near as extreme as bouldering … but it’ll be nice knowing that I can dig my hands deep into the dirt without worrying even the slightest bit. All those videos of people dragging the watch from a car … if the watch comes out of that with just a minor nick in the case, mine’s going to look brand-new when I finally upgrade to the Ultra 10.

It’s a shockingly good speakerphone! Rather than having it as a backup if I’ve left my phone behind, I’m going to use it whenever I’d use a speakerphone and my actual phone isn’t already in my hand.

My biggest dislike? The watch stands out a bit farther from my wrist than I’d like. Make it a few millimeters slimmer and it’d be nice. Make it as thick as the band and it’d be ideal — not that that’s remotely realistic! The width and height might technically be “too big” for century-old watch aesthetic standards, but it fills up my wrist with a really, really nice display without hanging over the edges of my arm; that makes it the perfect size for me (aside from height).

So … yeah. Loving it.

The Ocean band honestly feels a bit like a nice foam, it's not hard at all. Like others I was going to get the Trail band but didn't want to wait, so I grabbed the Midnight Ocean band expecting I could change it later...now I probably won't.

Got my first nick on the casing yesterday from a glass door in my office. The Titanium is fine, but the coating is showing a little sheen in the glance spot. Meh it was going to happen eventually. My ceramic lasted 3 years without a scratch... but that was ceramic I suppose haha.

I can relate. I really like mine too, but I agree its touch too big (for me). I am fine with keeping my smaller AW5 to supplement. But I don't see spending just about $200 less for an AW8. The AWU has just has a lot more features. I'll probably end up keeping it.

I loved my Ceramic S2 and S5. I wish they brought it back. That was nearly indestructible.
