People need to be very careful when ordering from Amazon. Amazon is more akin to eBay. A mall of stores. The only one they really backup is when the seller is Amazon.com LLC. Otherwise you are kind of on your own.
These were sold by Amazon LCC. They've now taken down the links. I got in an order for the 13 in base non touch for $1,139 and the order is still up so we'll see,
I don't think it's going to happen; they're going to cancel it. Just you watch.

My three still have not cancelled...but I fully expect them to cancel all three. Let hope it doesn't happen. No tax + 5% back...$1900 isn't bad.
Amazon has honored many such orders in the past--I remember 70-200 L lenses going for about half and being shipped. Doesn't mean it happens here but who knows what they do. I would just expect it will be honored but not have your life depend on it.
I wish I could buy a 70-200 L F2.8 for half the price...

The pre-order is what makes me think it will be cancelled. It won't ship for awhile plenty of time to cancel on us.
Id buy it from me also. I decided to order a couple extras in case they go through...make a few $$ and lower the cost on the one I keep. Wouldn't pay retail. Plus they ship after Nov 1 and I have until Jan 31 to return to Amazon.

Can only sell through Marketplace here on MacRumors. Bought the top end 15"
Probably sell locally to a electronic store or on CL. Saves fees / shipping / problems between seller and buyer
I'm sure apple with their team of lawyers and the politicians they bankroll will get that operation shut down immediately
I placed an order on Amazon this morning when it was available. I proceeded to price-match a local Best Buy this evening. $1139.92 + tax for a non-touch bar 13" MacBook Pro.
Dang great deal! was half asleep this morning when I saw it for $1138 on amazon to preorder and gone minute slater
maybe should have done it and worried about how it would shake out, after.
oh well, my 12" rMB is still nice!

Correct. I showed them the Order Details which has the same model number MLL42LL/A.
I think more BesyBuy might reject it then to price match. Did it require a manager to adjust price?
