My mileage came up short unfortunately. I also ordered from Amazon this morning at $1139, but got denied on a price match attempt at Best Buy. Great deal you got there!

What'd they say when they turned you down?

I hope amazon honors the price,

dang I shoulda put in a preorder just for kicks this morning two minutes before but to be fair, even if they do honor it by the time I saw it it woulda been the last of that boat-- but would be a win win either way if it did work out

I showed them the Amazon order status screen on my phone, but at the time Amazon had completely taken down the listing for the MacBook so you couldn't click/tap the item to view it. You also couldn't search the model number on Amazon, its like it never existed on Amazon at all, so because of that and the huge discount they denied it. Tonight Amazon seems to have brought the item back, although it shows unavailable, so maybe I'll go back tomorrow and try again. Store is only 10 minutes away, worst they can say is no again.

Find their newest employee lol

Hmm...two of my three MacBook Pros were cancelled...no email yet. But showed under the cancelled items.

I called Amazon and they openly admitted any orders would be cancelled and apologized. This happened with a very expensive rechargeable flashlight I ordered once, it was priced at $140.00 and was showing on sale For $40.00. I ordered three of them and the next day it was cancelled. Amazon sent me an email explaining how this happens and it's "Out of their control."

why did you call them ????? you could not sit put and wait for the outcome ? have you no patience ? jesus christ.

that assumes he ordered them in the first instance. Everyone I'm sure has anecdotal evidence of it working or not working out from time to time. For those who order, just wait and see. But don't depend on it one way or the other.

There is always one ****** that spoils it for everybody :rolleyes:

Amazon Customer Service Rocks! But thankfully they don't rock at communicating information on to others...probably didn't even report the price mistake. Probably just told the customer - sorry no good they will be cancelled. Amazon CSR don't know anything about what Amazon actually does...there just giving answers from their sheet.

I was really bored and just wanted to talk with the Amazon Customer representative. Please don't take the Lord's name in vein.

They have remarkable customer service. They also applied a $25.00 gift card to my account.

They also said they would make sure to cancel everyone else's orders for the MacBook Pro's promptly. (Kidding...)!

All joking aside, It will be interesting to see the successful orders.

Amazon Customer service rocks because they give people $$ & do whatever you tell the basically. Not because they are knowledgeable, communicate well, pass on proper information, etc.

its not like they wouldnt be aware of this, i wouldnt flame this guy too bad

but the first rule of SD (slickdeals) is you dont talk about a slick deal with a CSR person
