Hello Mac people. I have a hopefully short and easy question for anyone willing to help. I just acquired a 2010 mac pro (2x 2.66 ghz, 28 gb ram) as an experiment rig. It runs pretty slow even considering it's age and I thought I would try linux on it and see if I can put some life back into it. Maybe turn it into a server of some type, I don't know yet. Typically, I would just put the usb installer in it, then boot to the live usb by holding the alt button during reboot. However, all I get is a black screen. There is no option to boot from the usb disk or even the system drive. Does anyone know why this could be and if there is a fix for it?

Thank you in advance!

Sorry, should've included that. It is Mojave and the graphics is the radeon 580.
