Because a few have shown no signal loss in their tests doesn't mean it doesn't happen. It does. Again, make the exact case out of hard polycarbonate. Cheaper and no signal loss.

Ive been waiting for a company to wake up and do this for a while now

vapor pro... consistent 5 bars for me.

That means absolutely nothing besides you live in a strong coverage area to begin with. If you live in a 5 bar area you are not going to notice the hit

For example a 20 dB hit, if you will, wouldn't be shown on a phone with a -50 dB aka 5 bars; however I live in a 1-2, maybe 3 if im lucky, area. It will take my 3 bars and turn my phone into a paperweight.

I dont want an aluminum case that claims no signal loss, I want an equally attractive and similar designed case that isnt aluminum at all. But everyone wants to play "me too" with these metal bumpers

thats too bad if you live in a crappy coverage area then. not trying to play "me too" at all. vapor pro looks and feels great in the hand... lots of people like it theres nothing wrong with that just cuz it doesn't work for you.

btw i never planned on getting it but my girlfriend bought it for me as a surprise. turns out its a sweet case :) personally i think 150 for a case is ridiculous considering i only payed 100 for the phone lol.

Great post. The thing OTHER than the signal degradation is drop protection. Metal to metal contact-or metal to crappy thin rubber strip-will not protect much. That is in addition to ruining the case as aluminum has a funny thing about it-it doesn't like to be banged off the concrete sidewalk.

Again, make it out of polycarbonate and I am in. Stop making Faraday cages and labeling them cases.

Elementcase shill alert!! :D ;)

If i was a shill i wouldnt claim that element has bad customer service or say that i dont think its worth 150 bucks. Its really starting to seem like those of u with bad signal are jelous u cant use an aluminum case. In fact youve prolly never even tried one because u cant afford it. :(

I'm not saying it works for everyone... but just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean its a fail for everyone. Some of you need to get over that fact lol.

btw indyzzzz stop following me around forums trolling... foreveralonemuch?

when i said "me too" i was referencing the case makers who all want to copy each other and make the same type of thing, instead of something more practical.

And I never said there was nothing wrong with it, just said i want a case similar to the aluminum ones WITHOUT signal loss and you come in here with the "I get 5 bars" argument that means absolutely nothing when it comes to measuring SIGNAL LOSS. To recap what i said, if you had 5 bars before, you probably will with a metal case too- but if you have ~3 bars, a metal case will most likely kill your ability for your phone to function as a phone.

I wasnt coming at you just trying to explain how the bar system works, explaining why you not experiencing a drop n bars does not mean you have no signal loss.

lmao @ cant afford one, how do you think I know all this? Ive bought several cases that claim they dont affect signal and they all did. Apply your own logic here- just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for everyone else. If I didn't know any better, that little (uninformed) recommendation you made up there would have cost me a lot of money

I never said u cant afford em those comments were actually directed at the troll and not you. I dont have a Problem with what u said i agree with ur points. Im sick of people that talk crap however about something they dont know anything about. U know what ur talking about so thats not u.

If the case doesnt work for u then too bad but theres no need to make it seem like it doesnt work for everyone which some people here r trying to do, when i suspect some of them havnt even tried it yet. (again this is not directed towards u)

I'm with bell. Used to be with fido and was with rogers for a while too before that. Bell is prolly the best company I've been with fido/rogers is a terrible company. If AT&t sucks then switch as soon as you can. For the price we pay for these phones and plans, shouldn't have to put up with bad quality. :)

Now I'm intrigued, currently have a griffin reveal frame but it doesn't play nice with my screen protectors, I was going to order a PSG Linear EX to dove this problem but now I've come across this.

Can anyone that has this case comment on how it plays with front and back screen protectors? I currently have a Media Devil crystal clear front and back protection.

Thanks in advance

This case looks like it would work just fine with screen protectors because theres no lip if you look closely at the pictures.

OK thank you i thought as much from the pictures, glad to know for definite though.

Before i jump and buy this case i was wondering if anybody could post a picture of the phone with the case on standing upright from a head on angle? Most pictures here are angled at the phone. Preferably not black on black.

Also can anybody direct me to a red carbon fiber back skin, i got a black 4s and was thinking of getting the Red on black Alcase with a red carbon fiber back skin, i think it would look pretty sweet with this case.

Very nice looking case. I would pick one up if I didn't already have an e13, maybe for my company phone..

Yeah that's what I was after, I'm torn between this and the Vapor Comp, I prefer the curved corners on the comp but the price gap of £25 may push me towards the Alcase, decisions decisions

Bought one! (Japan)

I got one! It's on my girlfriend's iphone 4S so it's pink. She loves it and her friends are all jealous. It's already saved the phone from one fall onto tiles.
She only really cares about the looks, but I like the solid construction.
Here it is at the Shibuya scramble - the busiest spot in Tokyo.
