The new iMacs and Mac Pros are already out.

The new MacBooks and MacBook Pros will likely be out in late August or early September.

And the new Mac Minis will likely be out about the time you earn your degree. :p

Pics have been discussed in other threads

hahahaha..the above pics have been shown and discussed in other threads peeps! hahaha..

But all of them look sweet! Hehehe. I'm wondering what will apple come up with next..or for that matter..I wonder what other fans will come up with ...hehehe

well i am not sure but even its only a speedbump the next update should be way greater than the penryn upgrade...
we have the nvidia 9series + montevina... thats more than just the ~5% speedbump of penryn
+ eventually case redesign worth the wait? well who know... 3g iphone wasnt worth the wait.

Who says they are coming out in August? They could come out tomorrow or they may never be released. No one outside of Apple knows yet.

not true. according to appleinsider, the new intel chips were delayed by the fcc certification. they were hoping to come out at the beginning of june. but now, they have a date set for july 14th for the initial release date, with large volume shipments going out in august.

but apple traditionally waits a month or two after new chips come out. so, that could be august if they watch the initial releases, or september. this is why there was no announcement at wwdc.

here's the article:

If you're British (like me) that is...

Interestingly, it's not always been spelt/pronounced 'aluminum' in the US... I'm reading an American novel from 1926, and it's spelt 'aluminium'.

The funny thing is that none of the other 'ium's' changed AFAIK. Helium hasn't become helum, nor has magnesium become magnesum... give it another 20 years or so hahah...

PS. I love Oxford :) Lived there for 3 years...
