Here's the update: Short Version: The phone was replaced for $249.
Long Version: I went in to the store, spoke to the genius and explained my situation. We had a bit of a laugh about how I totally screwed up the repair. He told me the whole phone was broken and the only option was a replacement for $249. I said sure, paid the money and left a happy customer with a working iPhone 4 in hand.
I asked the Genius what was the criteria for getting the $249 replacement and he said you can get it no matter what you can get the phone replaced, the only reason they may refuse to replace it is if the phone is completely destroyed in 10 pieces.
