Am I getting spammed by fake MacRumors?

The email address from which it came looks suspicious, therefor thinking it's good to start this topic..

I just got an email saying MacRumors offers free tickets for WWDC.
Only have to reply with my email and full name.

Is this for real or a scam?

It’s legit. I sent it from my personal email which in retrospect probably wasn’t smart. I should have used my MacRumors email.

Edit: and not free tickets to wwdc. Just an invite to our mixer
