Ok so I had success with restoring and re jailbreaking. I'm gonna take my time adding tweaks this time. I need to know if anyone can tell me are we supposed to leave touch ID and passcode off even after the jailbreak? I had both on before is that what was causing my crashes?

Am I reading this right, iOS 8.1 is STILL being signed?

If you are not using a backup, then no. Depending on the order of restoring your backup, it may be causing issues once Cydia makes changes to your filesystem.

I restored and jailbroke with no data then restored from backup after jb. Then ran cydia then set up a passcode so far so good. Should I leave it off?

you did it correct, the issue comes if you run cydia than restore from backup because the back resuffles some of those files that cydia sets up during its initial launch

Springboard crashed this morning. What can be causing this? I set up my fingerprint before running cydia but didn't set up a passcode could this be the problem? I have adblocker installed, weatherboard, cydelete, five icon dock, classic dock, zeppelin, lock glyph, send delay, barrel, pull to restring and transparent volume 8

Now that is something I have never heard before....I mean, you can't setup touchID, before you setup passcode ???

yeah i set up my fingerprint, it ask you to set up your fingerprint before asking you to set up a passcode. I know because I just restored again to see if not setting it up will help and turned it off before backing it up also to see if that helps plus I didn't set up my fingerprint this time. I guess I will see

Your springboard crashing doesn't have anything to do with Touch ID. You probably have an incompatible or clashing tweaks. The Touch ID issues cause infinite boot loop. If you aren't experiencing that, then Touch ID is not the problem.

Any idea which one it could be? I had crash reporter installed before re jb last night and whenever it crashed it would say no culprit detected.

I'm trying to restore back to 8.1 to re-jailbreak the pangu version , I've checked ipsw.me and it says that 8.1 is still signed. I've downloaded the ipsw file from them as well as iclarified.com and both time when I try to shift+restore it says my firmware is not compatible with my 6+ 64gb. I've turned my location off, turned passcode off, restarted both computer and devices several times, yet I can't restore my phone from the jailbreak.

I don't know what to do. Im tempted to update to 8.1.1 and try the taig jailbreak, but would rather wait a few days. Anyone have any other ideas?

What is all this with touchid and pass code? I've never had a problem and I always set up mine the way it shows after a restore on 6+.

Just curious to what the problem some are having.

My suggestion would be any lock screen tweaks first.

I only had lock glyph. But for now I re jb a few hours ago and am only running weatherboard, five icon dock and barrel since they came from the repos already in cydia plus i paid for 2 of them. So far so good been a few hours. Gonna just use these for a day and if no crashes, install my next tweak and just go from there by adding them one at a time. Thank you for the help

Figured out that it was weatherboard causing the safe mode. This kind of sucks because its one of my fav tweaks. But I guess I'll wait for an update. I uninstalled it last night and haven't had a problem since. I emailed the dev and he told me that it had to be classic dock clashing with weatherboard. I'm gonna try uninstalling classic dock and reinstalling weatherboard see what happens

Thanks for the clarification. When I had trouble, I may have run Cydia after jb'ing but before restoring my backup.

Right now my iPhone is running fine and I did restore, then restore backup, and finally Pangu.

Umming and ahhing over 8.1.1+TaiG but will hold out for now.

And 8.1 window is shut
