Ok so I had success with restoring and re jailbreaking. I'm gonna take my time adding tweaks this time. I need to know if anyone can tell me are we supposed to leave touch ID and passcode off even after the jailbreak? I had both on before is that what was causing my crashes?
If you are not using a backup, then no. Depending on the order of restoring your backup, it may be causing issues once Cydia makes changes to your filesystem.
I restored and jailbroke with no data then restored from backup after jb. Then ran cydia then set up a passcode so far so good. Should I leave it off?

Thanks so much for the responses guys. Can u possibly provide a link for the iPhone 6 8.1 ipsw file?
Now that is something I have never heard before....I mean, you can't setup touchID, before you setup passcode ???
Springboard crashed this morning. What can be causing this? I set up my fingerprint before running cydia but didn't set up a passcode could this be the problem? I have adblocker installed, weatherboard, cydelete, five icon dock, classic dock, zeppelin, lock glyph, send delay, barrel, pull to restring and transparent volume 8
Your springboard crashing doesn't have anything to do with Touch ID. You probably have an incompatible or clashing tweaks. The Touch ID issues cause infinite boot loop. If you aren't experiencing that, then Touch ID is not the problem.
yeah i set up my fingerprint, it ask you to set up your fingerprint before asking you to set up a passcode. I know because I just restored again to see if not setting it up will help and turned it off before backing it up also to see if that helps plus I didn't set up my fingerprint this time. I guess I will see
Any idea which one it could be? I had crash reporter installed before re jb last night and whenever it crashed it would say no culprit detected.
My suggestion would be any lock screen tweaks first.
you did it correct, the issue comes if you run cydia than restore from backup because the back resuffles some of those files that cydia sets up during its initial launch
I miss 8.1 already. Such a kind and gentle iOS.
