I think it will be interesting to see if the red dot is in existence for the Series 4, if it’s not, then to me it shows that Apple was not confident in their decision implementing the red dot just for the sake of one year.

I cannot believe what am I reading.

You are a conscious human being with a free will, freedom of choice and therefore, an opinion. Whether you want a watch or not, that is to be respected, because it is your choice. Not wanting something doesn't make you stupid, nor does anyone have a right to call you so, just because you do not want it.

What is wrong with this world?
Have a look around this forum. People looking for validation of their opinions makes up at least 50% of the posts here. Just wait until the new devices come out in a few weeks. Then we'll get all of the "Should I get this color or that color" threads from people who can't make up their own minds and need the internet to tell them what to do.

The red dot? I really don't like it.

It's not the only reason, clearly. I don't feel strongly that I need cellular, and I'm not ecstatic about the monthly cost (EE essentially lied to me and convinced me to go for a more expensive data plan saying I could share it with a watch, but that isn't the case) but I'm going to be upgrading from my S0 to a S4 on release and part of me says I should go for the fully capable version. I just wish it didn't have the dot, which I find really distracting on the design.

I have had a Watch Dot™ on mine since December of last year. I shower with it, spent a month in Japan with it (100% humidity + extreme heat) and that dot hasn't budged. not sure what sort of glue they use but it's really adhered to the crown. They come in all colors but I just got basic black.
[doublepost=1535632191][/doublepost]Red dot was to distinguish it from previous top end models, but now now the s4 may have a larger screen. The dot may go away because the s4 can be visually distinguished from the previous generation.

Only when the screen is on...

By the looks of the leaked photo the red dot has been reduced to a slim ring around the crown.

Much better, but I wonder how it looks on a Space Grey model

Yeah not bad really. I don’t use my watch without my phone often but the odd time it is very useful

£5 isn't much, but I'm still holding my grudge from when I took out the contract for my X. They convinced me to go for a ridiculous data plan for a little extra by saying I could share it with other devices, such as an iPad or Watch. I ended up paying £78 a month, which later went up to £83 without warning. I only learned later that there was an extra fee for using the Watch and I was essentially lied to. Because of this, I'm reluctant to the extra £5 fee.

I find a fiver a month worth it to be contactable when I forget my phone or my battery dies (I do love my 6s but the battery life is rubbish).

I like the red dot (close up there’s a real richness to the colour) and think the red ring on the pictures of the 4 looks fussy but in practice I don’t notice the dot at all in day to day use so the red circle wouldn’t be a deal breaker.

I think the new red circle looks much better to be honest. Then again I wouldn’t buy the cellular watch as I don’t need it, but as far as aesthetics go it looks much more discreet.

If ever I don’t have my iPhone near me like when I’m out jogging, it’s because I don’t want to be reached. For those that it contact every second of the day, I can see the use. My carrier doesn’t offer Apple Watch support either I don’t think?

I love the new, subtle red circle if ends up being true. Still not sold on LTE for my Apple Watch as I have my iPhone in most places. But if they go LTE only or do not over a non-LTE stainless steel, I might just be forced to have it. And I will evaluate if I want to enable it or not.
