This is my first pre-order for launch day iPhone. My 3G, I got after standing in line three days after launch. My 4, I didn't get until a few months after launch.

There's a certain giddiness combined with paranoia that Verizon will screw me out of my birthday present.

Same here. I'm more angry than anything. Not FURIOUS because it's just a phone but I was up until all hours of the night and got a junky ship date. Stupid Apple site down for hours. Reminded me of the keynote stream.

Refreshed the page from 12am to 12:35am, finally got in, ordered 2 Gold 64GB iPhone 6+(s), paid up and received confirmation.

Honestly I'm feeling pretty meh about it partially because both phones are for my family members. My contract is already up so I can re-contract and get a new phone on the 19th, but that phone will be going to my cousin too.

I'm only getting my iP6 in another month when my cousin's contract expires. Not really too affected by it. I've had my trusty iP4 for 4 years already, and it's proved to be extremely reliable. No reason why I can't stick out another month together with it.
