I recently switched from my Cosmos Blue Apple leather case, to my Midnight Blue Apple silicone case and had forgotten how much lint it picks up!!! I do love my leather case too but find that it tends to feel sweaty and sticky in hot weather so hence why I changed to silicone for the warmer summer months here in the U.K.

The other thing I find with Apple's silicone case is that is literally grabs the inside of my pocket when putting the phone in and out - so much so that when pulling the phone out, it turns my pocket inside out!!

Yea that’s starting to get annoying. The amount of lint does seem to be going down but it’s still turning my pockets inside out. I’m trying to give it a couple weeks to see if that lessens. But man, I just came from the Sheath and loved how it glided in and out of my pockets. There’s gotta be a happy medium case right??

I'm actually thinking of going caseless now (never done this before) - I have Applecare so if the worst came to the worst, I guess I could use that, if my phone got damaged.

I'm thinking of just getting some kind of skin on the back of the iPhone 8 Plus just to help with grip....

You might want to try the Sheath. It’s very thin with a good grip.

It’s so thin, it makes me nervous even though it supposedly handles 6 foot drops.

Yea I’ve been looking for some drop tests but haven’t seen any.

I can vouch for a 3ft drop :) Do people really drop their phones from 6ft in normal use? I am 6"3 so a 6ft drop would have to be from when holding to my ear, can't see that happening.

This is exactly what I’ve decided to do. I can find a flaw with just about any case. I’ll just go careless with my 8 Plus unless I’m working outside, in which case I’ll throw my Defender on the thing to keep dirt out.

I feel that way about the silicone case. Don’t know what it is about them, but my current setup now, while a nice change, can’t compare to it even with the pop socket for better handling.

I've been using the orange apple leather case since late March when it came out. I just stick to these cases. I also have the cosmos blue and the aubergine color.

I’m sending my Silicone back. I think I got a fake. My friend bought one the same time as me and his feels completely different. I’ll exchange it and see how I like the replacement. Got that and a Caudabe Classic on the way. Plus my K11 broke, so now I’m back to my backup Caseology Legion.

Good times. And first world problems... lol.

And man now that I’ve come back to Caseology, they nailed the feel. It’s grippy without it grabbing onto my pockets. Too bad it’s a bit bulky for me. I’m hoping the genuine silicone case is better, or maybe I’ll stick with the Sheath.

Ugh, why does Apple have to be sneaky and release more colors in the silicone cases? Obsessed with the Marine Green. I haven’t even used my denim blue yet and I want another one, and the new iPhone comes out in September so chances are I might not even use it. First world problems, lmao

Got my new Black Caudabe Sheath Classic, same as the original except for the carbon on back, which i sold, same grip and feel. Buttons excellent, perfect fit no slack unless you pull at it.
Probably not the case if you are a slam boy, the lip is only just about 1mm with my icarez 2.5 screen protector. Which makes for better swiping.
Probably as good as you will get if you want a slim case with grip that covers all around.

I have the UAG plasma if need more protection and the UAG Metropolis which is a loose saggy old case.

Well, I've now switched to one of these:

Its super slim, probably THE thinnest case I have ever owned - almost like there is no case on the phone at all (almost!). It has like a smooth matte finish so no more fingerprints however its still a little slippery as it doesn't naturally grip your hand like the leather case does so I have to now hold my 8 Plus with 2 hands (I could use it one handed when I had the Apple leather case on it), in order to stop it from moving about in my hand!!

I actually went back to my Sheath classic in black. Best in hand feel of any case I have tried.

The Pitaka MagPro was just not for me.
