I have had no problems, and first time Internet user, redic. pleased. It works great, and gps works really well too.

They should have fixed the mms years ago though... but its not a huge deal to me.

I've had no problems and on my second iphone (had 2G first). I travel for business and rarely have problems anywhere I go. I think part of the hype around dropped calls is fueled by other carriers. I sometimes travel with a person on Verizon who swears they would never switch to AT&T because of all the "dropped calls", but this person has never had AT&T and I usually have better service than they do when traveling. I'm sure there are people with legitimate problems, but I am not one of them.

wow

You're lying if you've NEVER had a problem with AT&T. The service isn't perfect. It's good, but it's not perfect.

And they do have a ridiculous amount of dropped calls for the "lowest percentage of dropped calls in the nation".

Then again, I do live in LA, but it's still spotty at best most days.

thank you for calling me and others a liar your right I am 100% lying AT&T is paying me and I had perfect service with Sprint and Verizon and customer service was so fantastic. if only they new how to bribe me better so I didn't have to stay with this **** company. Feel better now!

I have had to call them twice about issues. Both times were issues with visual voicemail. I spent maybe 5 minutes total getting it fixed. I'm not complaining.

I have verizon right now and I have had 0 dropped calls in 3 years. I had att before that and I had a couple of dropped calls. but...at the time my apartment sat down in like a valley. I did not live there anymore when I had switched to verizon so i dont know if it would have been any better. I am switching back to ATT again so they are getting another chance to prove themselves. so we will see what happens.

I love my AT&T plan I get exactly what I signed for on my contract and the Iphone is a exception "data/internet phone". I've played with many other phones and it's by far the best data phone out of the bunch. The coverage AT&T has for 3G network in my area is phenominal too and my internet connection speed is really up there, I've actually been up to 3MB's before on 3g network in my area. I average about 1500kb which is still pretty damn good. All and all AT&T is better than what I had with Verizon.

I used to have a lot of droppe calls when I first got my 3G , but then I called to complain and they sent a "signal boost" to my phone. Now dropped calls a are a thing of the past.:D

Service here in Texas is pretty good. Everyone seems to think the "other"
companies have better service. A decade ago I worked for a telecommunications company and complaints were steady about dropped calls etc. Many customers switched and later came back. They said our service was much better, but that they just hadn't believed it when they had service the first time.

I never said that you were being paid, lmfao. Im just saying you're fooling yourself into believing ATT has no problem. Their network is clearly strained in some areas, and they aren't on top of the crap that they need to be (MMS, tethering w/ iPhone, sporadic 3G network, dropped calls, etc)
I'm just saying AT&T isnt perfect. No company is.

An hour or so after I posted, I was on the phone with my fiancee for a moment until I got a random busy signal, and she told me her phone dropped the call. We both have AT&T phones. I have perfect signal, and it still drops.

It's not perfect, so I don't understand why you're so offended when I say that it isn't perfect.

PS I dont usually complain about ATT because it's not THAT bad. But to say they are perfect as is.... well... you really are blind then.

AT&T is awful around the Wall Street area. You'd think they'd go out of their way to improve their service in the financial center of the world. No wonder I'm the only person around here that doesn't have a Blackberry. :(

The day the iPhone is available on Verizon there will be a parade in Manhattan.

possibly because the network is so congested there?

I know when I go to sporting events (mostly college) I have perfect service but couldnt check my email if it loaded for an hour.

7 years of verizon 0 dropped calls.

in the last 3 days 14 dropped calls..............i am not making this up.

Try talking to a potential client on gprs, sounding like crap and then drop the call. Sounds like i am on metro pcs............

Its really bad in atlanta........

I've been an AT&T wireless customer for 10 years and I think AT&T is great as long as you never have to deal with their customer service people. I've had to dial 611 twice. One time I got an older lady who could barely figure out the issue (although I will give her credit for eventually resolving it). The second call (just yesterday) I got some idiot hick who spoke with such a thick twang that I couldn't even understand him. So I say if you are willing to handle issues by physically going to the store, AT&T is the best.

Been an iPhone user for two years now and I am still singing AT&T's praises. Exceptional reception and 3G wherever I go, even in the mountains which I was surprised. They also changed my number for free when I moved to another state (I was told it would cost $30).

So yeah, so far so good. :)

Unfortunately, I have 1 to 3 dropped calls a day. I live in Philadelphia and travel to NJ for work and it happens daily when I'm traveling home. It's not that I don't have service, it's just that the service is too strong. When you have two strong signals going to your phone, it makes weird noises while the phone tries to handle the signal then will drop the call... and this happens way too much. It gets pretty annoying, and I have even called ATT to see if they could do something about it. Still happens...

I'm on AT&T in NJ and travel frequently. I haven't had any issues and service has been great.

That makes absolutely no sense at all.

All I can find everywhere on the internet is complains about ATT. I have had the iphone, iphone3G and now 3GS and have never had bad service. I must live near an ATT tower or the 50 mile radius where I spend most of my life must be the BEST ATT SERVICE IN THE WORLD or something... cause I always have 3G service its always fast most times faster than wifi.. I have had like maybe 10 dropped calls in 2 years.. nothing that bothers me.

sure the MMS thing sucks ,but we have had pretty dang good service with plenty of roll over minutes.. A LOT better than sprint thats for sure.. I NEVER COULD GET GOOD coverage..

anyways just wondering IF I am the only person

So you have had problems with AT&T. So has everyone else. /thread

I was on Sprint for 5+years and had great coverage with them. AT&T is a different story. I drop calls fairly frequently especially in my house, and I am constantly switching between edge and 3g. I live in Denver and am surprised that a market like this has such poor reception.
