Will everyone please stop taking me seriously! It was a joke.

I watched the thing on my MacBook while I did a bunch of other things. I didn't even have the sound on.

I was frustrated that there was virtually no pricing information. But that's on the website now.

Sorry but it's hard to know around here with so many trolls unless you use an emoticon or j/k or /sarc tag to show you are joking.

all of your friends and family will be getting a applewatch

Actually, I don't know anyone else who is. Most people don't see the point or can't justify the expense.

I'm getting one because I like the look of them and I like the functionality.

I'm British. We're very dry. It kinda spoils it if you add j/k.

I just sat through an hour and a half of tedious, irrelevant nonsense.

I never watch these keynotes. It's just full of Apple back scratching.

"It's been an incredible year"
"We've made it even thinner"
"Here's x to tell you more about this incredible product"
"It's so beautiful"

blah blah blah.

I wait til the Church of Apple finishes and the bullet points are revealed on here and Engadget.

It all started off so well with the MacBook announcement (my god that thing looks good)... The Apple Watch part was just a farce. Cook just regurgitating what he told us in September, a few hollow videos about the materials and some pretty thin app demonstrations. I mean seriously, did anyone care at all when that garage door lifted up? Or about sending tacky emojis via WeChat?

I'm sure once devs can actually get their hands on the thing the innovation will start flowing but I was left very disappointed. Battery life.. skimmed over. No mention of water resistance at all... Apple Care? The 'guest appearance' was dire too.

Anyway, rant over. I'm still getting one of course but today didn't add any significant reasons to IMO.

I agree it was an uneven presentation. HBO kicking it off with the Apple TV went from "oh cool!" to "why is he still there?" pretty quickly. I enjoyed Tim Cook toying with the crowd. The Research Kit could have a seriously positive impact and made me like Apple as a company more. (Though I also wouldn't be surprised if it sputtered, unfortunately.)

The portion about the watch did not unveil very much; it felt so redundant, like maybe they shouldn't have announced it already. Still, they spent more time using it for different apps (but for gods' sake enough with the sending of drawings and your heart beat, we get it) and I actually did come away with a better sense of why I would want one, and that this thing really is way, WAY ahead of any other smart watch. But it better be for the price (even the "cheapest" one - I swear that's the only reason the gold edition exists, to make the Sport look dirt cheap).

I just sat through an hour and a half of tedious, irrelevant nonsense. Hardly any of the questions we've all been discussing for days were answered.

The pricing information was flashed up for milliseconds and there was no breakdown.

There's no ordering for a month.

No delivery till after my birthday!

We know very little we didn't already know.

I hate Apple. And Tim Cook. And Jony Ive.

oh no a electronic product is released after your birthday.

do you want a cookie?

go try it at an apple store.

if you hate apple and tim cook. why even post anything

do you hate your mom and dad too?

I think everyone whose join date is within the last month should have their posts colored bright purple so we can spot the trolls on announcement and launch days easier.

Haha...the actual trolls/agenda pushers/paid special interests folks have been here a lot longer than that lol. All the popular blogs are infested with their sleezy, evil ilk.

No delivery till after my birthday!

I know of 5 other people who are furious that the watch won't be delivered until after your birthday.

Now, those 5 people were also furious that the moon landing was faked, so I don't worry too much about what gets them so angry.

I figure their meds will kick in eventually.
