Called apple care, have 60 days left on my launch day purchased iPhone 4.
1st swap (a few months ago) - home button stopped working
2nd - stock apps were unstable, even stock software
3rd - horizontal line banding that made my screen look like interlaced poo
4th - DOA out of box
5th- fine until home button stopped working again..
I called them, they had a supervisor come talk to me, got a call back number, asked if I could be comp'ed in some way a la 32gb or even just a warranty extension as i have doubts about the next one lasting long.
she's hooking me up with a 32gb, the preferred option. might buy apple care now just to lock this puppy down. But we'll see. might be tempted into iPhone 5.
ANYWAYS so excited for my first 32gb iphone! I had the 16GB 3G and 16GB 3GS and 4 (and 8GB with original first gen, dunno how I survived) so phew.
That means a lot more music on the go.
and the phone will be new, she said a few in my history were refurbished.
A+ apple experience. When you deal with the phone support, it's excellent. it's the retail support and experience that I question these days.
