Called apple care, have 60 days left on my launch day purchased iPhone 4.

1st swap (a few months ago) - home button stopped working
2nd - stock apps were unstable, even stock software
3rd - horizontal line banding that made my screen look like interlaced poo
4th - DOA out of box
5th- fine until home button stopped working again..

I called them, they had a supervisor come talk to me, got a call back number, asked if I could be comp'ed in some way a la 32gb or even just a warranty extension as i have doubts about the next one lasting long.

she's hooking me up with a 32gb, the preferred option. might buy apple care now just to lock this puppy down. But we'll see. might be tempted into iPhone 5.

ANYWAYS so excited for my first 32gb iphone! I had the 16GB 3G and 16GB 3GS and 4 (and 8GB with original first gen, dunno how I survived) so phew.

That means a lot more music on the go.

and the phone will be new, she said a few in my history were refurbished.

A+ apple experience. When you deal with the phone support, it's excellent. it's the retail support and experience that I question these days.

Apples customer service in retail locations has been amazing for me. If over the phone customer service is even better then I can't wait to find out! :D

What do you mean for once?

You got five phones replaced.

so replacing your phone with a new one FIVE TIMES isn't good enough for you, its only "good for once" when they switch it out for the more expensive model for free?

When the device stops working after not much time as it should, it gets annoying.

Congrats. Good to see you received good support. We didn't experience any issues getting my wife's iPhone 4 replaced either.

I don't disagree with that...but I don't see how the phone not working means the customer service is bad...it sounds like they've been very accommodating to you

Sounds like you had a great experience! I also had a pretty good one recently when Apple gave be a brand-new replacement iPhone 4 after mine was having problems communicating with my network. Honestly, it was due to me being too rough with the thing (even though it was in a case). I'm now babying my new one, without a case, but with protectors on both sheets of glass. Not a scratch in sight.

Why didn't you ask to see if they'd give you a white one?! We all know they are on the horizon anyways ;):D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8H7 Safari/6533.18.5)

I've ALWAYS received incredible service from Apple.

This. Also what do you mean native apps became unstable, OP. Sounds fishy... Either way, enjoy your 32GB iPhone.
