Amazing deal for a REV B on ebay

Yikes.. I just talked to him and he said that my package is on the way to the post office..

I said why was the label created on thursday? And he said "it was created thursday to be shipped out today"

I asked "Has it already left for the post office" and he said yes that its on its way there now and I should see it by wednesday or thrusday.

wtf.. who creates a shipping label 5 days before sending something out

It's an obvious scam. You are hoping it's not, but it is.

Unfortunately, this is how people get suckered into these type of things.

I would not read into that too much. Have had this happen to me many times. In fact sent a phone system out to someone once and had to re-print labels a couple of days later as I could not fit it all in one box.

No biggie here imo.

Worry after the deadline, not sooner. Easier said than done I know, but do your best bugout, you have patience; I know for a fact you do.;)

I wish I could. Unfortunately, I'm about 4 hours away from S. Florida now (away at school).

I'll be there in 2 weeks. Bugout, do you have his address?

It would still be cheaper for my to fly down there, buy one in person and fly back then to buy one at the apple store..

Damn its not looking good :( sounds like he is giving you the run around. coincidently the 2 macbook pros he has listed up there end on wednesday. Nobody has left feedback yet. Any word from from the other MR members who bought one of these? so much for his claim of fast shipping! on his auction, he had thursday, friday, saturday to get it to the post office.

You know, I live in Texas, and that same thing still hold true for me. lol. I should be getting it on Wednesday. I guess 3 days isnt too much. I just want it to update already, but then again, he may be shipping rocks:D
 
This fits in with him saying hes getting more on monday. To sell the ones on monday(today) he can't have people leaving negative feedback, so he's telling them they're just shipping off.

just what might be going on if it is a scam. I bought a cheap PS3 a while ago on ebay and though i had been scammed. he didn't type well and act confused about the product. it took a while to get there but it finally did, minus the remote ;)

Ya that's what i was thinking, he still has 2 days or so left on selling the macbook pros on ebay, he may be stalling to sell those before people get (an empty box).

The grammar drives me nuts too, but he's not American so not a huge issue.
 
I sent him a message via Ebay asking "Did your account get jacked??" and he just replied

I noticed you are canadian. Did you order one of the MBA's?? I ordered mine saturday so i guess he won't ship until tmr or wednesday meaning i'll get it next week:(
 
No I didn't. Seems like a scam to me. The guys account was likely hijacked. I guess there is a slight chance I'm wrong but I would be willing to bet money on it.

I hope, for your sake, that I'm wrong!
