Here's a list of financial institutions who are in the process, and more are added daily. Just because they're not all "turned on" today doesn't mean they're meaningless, that's a ridiculous statement.

USAA, for example, says they'll be ready early November. That's a couple of weeks from now.

For the sake of argument, I will just agree to disagree with you. I do agree that this service will grow, don't doubt it. My point was that there are only a handful at this time that support apple pay. Also, because APPLE says they are working with these banks, doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Okay. Yes, it's "only" nine right now, but those nine banks hold the vast majority of credit card accounts in the USA. But I agree with your basic premise.

(FTR, VISA is the source of the list. I have a feeling they know what institutions are coordinating with them.)
