Amazon now has the 13" base for sale $1235 (MC965LL/A)

I just got my shipping estimate, ordered on Aug 1, and they're saying I'll get it between August 22nd and Sept 2nd.
 
Holy **** thats a long time!

August 2nd and still no date :(

Edit: @Mlrollin91, didn't you have to pay tax? I'm assuming you bought it from the store.

Back ordered. I bet Amazon's sales numbers on these new airs are straight up ridiculous.

Looks like Apples has another winner on it's hands.

yeah... i'm ordering mine tomorrow (later today actually i guess) morning.. not too pleased with the shipping estimate,.. I sold my macbook pro and am shipping it out tomorrow.. won't have a replacement for a month, borrowing a friends laptop for day use in the mean time, so i guess that's alright..

still though, i ordered one (and just cancelled it) to see what the shipping dates were.. August 24th - Sept. 13th.

I did notice earlier in the week, shipping times were 1-2 months as well though, maybe they'll just get more in stock next week and fulfill orders.
