The level of vanity required to buy and use this thing is off the freakin charts.
Wow and i thought the echo and Alexa devices were bad.... I thought why would you want something that has the ability to listen to everything that goes on and is said in your house at all times.... But now this just takes it to a whole new level of creepy.

And, NOT just for Female Fashion ... to anyone who has as an aging parent who lives alone, think of how it might enable you to keep better track of your parent's (daily) health ... to me, that's the PRIMARY market opportunity.

I'd like to think not but then I think of the number of people I've blocked on Facebook because they were cluttering my feed with countless selfies.
So what?
If you are afraid of targeted attacks neither is substantially worse than the other.
If you're having issues trusting Amazon with not tapping into the sensors when you aren't knowingly using the device then I think you underestimate their own best interest to keep their reputation as solid as possible.
ESPECIALLY because they have a HEAVY interest in making these devices a trusted device that you're willing to shop with (and therefore also be less inclined to go on a price comparison spree with other merchants...)

This is the "Next Big Thing" for the fashion industry. Every six months, your fashion will be out of date no matter what. No need for advertising to change fashion trends. People are going to be so locked into popular opinion no one will dare wear something not approved by the AI in their phone.

Yes, they're interested in their REPUTATION more than they are interested in your PRIVACY. Its all about perception.
Its futile to argue about it though. Its not like people care anymore. By and large the population of thirty years ago, which would have picked up pitchforks and torches if they were told they were going to be spied on 24/7, has given way to the current population, which seeks ever more interesting ways to give up privacy in return for convenience.
Great idea! Lets get naked in front of a camera connected to the web... What could possibly go wrong, right? 
Wow. This looks really stupid. Doesn't every teenaged girl already do this with a mirror? Somehow I don't think they're going to shell out $$ to bark an Alexa command. Plus, you have to pick up your phone anyway just to see the picture. May as well just use the phone to start with.
