AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. and we're on to a winner.

**** Apple could compete in the PC Gaming market as well as Pro uses.

Personally I do a lot of video editing and music production, I don't need 7 PCIe slots, 3 would do me fine

Plus gaming:

We forecast that 2.3 billion gamers across the globe will spend $137.9 billion on games in 2018. This represents an increase of +13.3% from the year before, or $16.2 billion. Digital game revenues will take 91% of the global market with $125.3 billion.

Mobile gaming will continue to be the largest segment following 10 years of double-digit growth since the first iPhone was launched in 2007. In total, mobile revenues will grow +25.5% year on year to reach $70.3 billion. This means that for the first time, more than half of all game revenues will come from the mobile segment. Smartphones will account for 80% of this, or $56.4 billion, with the remaining 20% coming from tablets. Console gaming is the second-largest segment generating $34.6 billion in 2018, while PC games will bring in $32.9 billion.

I don't care if it comes in a Mac box or not.
By and large I agree. Too bad I enjoy programming with Xcode too much and a Mac is a requirement for iOS/iPadOS development anyway (which I do on occasion, and I really like it).

Plus, I struggle to stomach Windows. Just not my thing.

Yeh, I got some (2) Hacs using i7/8700Ks, these are pretty nice. That said I fear Apple is going to lock out the Hackintosh community in the not too distant future. Recall the T2, separate system partitions, etc.
I'd rather not have to jump those Hac hoops and get a decent Mac tower without breaking the bank

They won't be able to until all of their product are T2 or T3 or what ever, plus they still have to support the older products that don't have it, so we have many years left

I'm seriously considering to buy this. I wanna read some reviews vs i9 9900k and then upgrade from my 6-year-old desktop setup of 4770k. Multi-core performance is no brainer but single-core, gaming performances are where my interest lies.
