This is an ignorant and callous response that is completely lacking in empathy. Just because you don't have first-hand knowledge of this, you think it doesn't exist? Because you see many people post their locations on Facebook, that means that everyone does it? You are naive and you need to do some research. This is a real thing that happens to real people every day.
Oh please do list for me all the people who've died from Apple listening to Siri recordings.

All this does is make me want Apple’s tags more. If Apple’s solution using UWB requires no charging or stays charged for multiple years and is very small and thin, they it will address every issue I’ve had with Tile. I think Tile will be dead in the water.

All signs pointed to an imminent announcement before the last event. Have their been any rumors as to why it was held back? Technical issues like AirPower?
Will apples implementation likely work without owning any idevice?

Just curious what this really means for tile as a business. I am sure it will effect them but I have no idea what percentage of their user base uses Apple products (though I can imagine a decent number).

Facts, Android is the majority. They can completely survive with that market alone

It’s not market share in a vacuum that matters but usage share. Or to put it another way, there’s a reason why the iOS App Store generates more revenue than the google play store despite having fewer users. Or why google pays Apple 9 billion a year to keep google search default.

iOS users on average have more disposable income and have a higher propensity to spend. Have more android users may not matter if none of them are buying your product.

It’s a moot point either way. If the Apple tag does get released, it’s going to have a huge advantage thanks to native Apple integration alone, leaving tile with virtually no choice but to target android users more aggressively if they are to survive.

Since when is a credit card 1,2 mm thick? More like 0,75. So two cards are 1,5 mm.

My apple card is 1mm thick. My current (dead) Tile Slim is a little over 2mm thick, 2.2 give or take, the new one says its 2.4 on tiles website. So more like 3 normal credit cards thick. I'm just glad its going to be credit card shaped now, the old slim was about 5/8 the length of a credit card which always looked weird in my minimalist Ridge wallet. I think this old slim lasted about 1.5 years. We have another slim purchased at the same time and its still working. I believe they were suppose to only last a year. I'm not sure how long this one has been dead but it didn't work on Tuesday when I needed it.

As an android user, I challenge you to post a screen shot of your bank account and I will show you mine, I'll give you a hint there are 2 commas in mine

It doesn’t matter how rich you or me are (spoiler: I am not rich by any means of the word).

What matters is the number of people on each side who are willing to spend. Maybe you are extremely well to do, and you still represent only 1 consumer. A millionaire isn’t going to buy an android app 100 times.

Here’s an example.

The developer earned over 80% of revenue from his app on iOS. The original blog is now gone, but he attributed poor android app sales partly to a very high rate of piracy.

As such, it’s no surprise that many apps come to iOS first or exclusively. People are just not spending money on android apps.

Why not just buy out Tile instead of putting them out of business?

Well, the obvious answer is that if Apple has already been able to develop their own technology that surpasses Tile, why in the world would they spend millions of $$$ to buy something won’t really benefit them?
